How Bizzare!

"...More than 70 years after they first met, teenage sweethearts Phil O'Neill and Joan Dean are about to marry.

The pair, both now 85, grew up in Masterton but were separated when World War 2 broke out and Mrs Dean's father forbade her to see Mr O'Neill for religious reasons.

Mrs Dean married and settled in Masterton while Mr O'Neill married in England, later moving to Lower Hutt.

Mutual friends put them in touch after their spouses died, and the pair reignited their relationship in January this year.

They got engaged in March, and plan to marry in Masterton, probably at the end of June..."

Link:

When asked why they waited so long they replied: "We were waiting for the children to die."

Update:

It's actually a true story!

The last line was mine (Sort of- I stole it from an old Kenny Everett skit)

Dickhead pollitician is off in La-La Land

Hone (WOFTAM)* Harawira spewed forth

"...Look at that dickhead of a judge who sent that kid to jail for tagging because the judge thought it was culturally offensive," he said.

"Is that part of the law now? What a bloody joke..."

Link:

Who is the friggin' dickhead here?

Here is a judge actually doing what us taxpayers want- coming down hard on WILLFUL PROPERTY DAMAGE. That's what it is- it ain't 'graffiti' or 'free expression of the poor downtrodden yoof. It is WILLFUL PROPERTY DAMAGE.

I consider this a serious matter- as does anyone who has had to PAY to have the defacement to their property removed. To make it worse, there are fascist councils around who demand that you remove the damage to your property at your expense!

Personally, I wish the judge had the tool of flogging at his disposal. it's a fitting punishment to those who like to leave their mark- to recieve a few of their own!

Witch Hunt- this one

The witch has ordered a witch hunt

The crime:

Embarrassing Hullun- So perhaps this one might not be swept under the carpet

Flocks of winged monkeys have been seen flying from the ninth floor.

I hope they like the taste of pork...

The results of my inquest.

Muliaga family hopes for answers at inquest

Here:

My findings:

The family members in contact with the deceased at and just before the time of death should be charged for failing to render aid in that:

They failed to call an ambulance.
They failed to move the deceased to a location with electricity.
They failed to contact any other person who could have made the above arrangements.

Also, they and the deceased are responsible for not paying their account or making arrangements with the electricity provider, or not communicating the importance of maintaining the electricity supply. They are also remiss in not making a contingency plan for the loss of power- an event not unknown in Auckland.

The most charitable summation is that all are guilty of profound stupidity.

It's that or they deliberately allowed her to die.

Obama for my US readers

Vote for me or the Nigger gets it!

I'm calling 'Bullshit' on this!

"...Children are most at risk during Auckland's afternoon rush hour, with nearly half of all child pedestrian crashes occurring between 3 and 7pm..."

No shit, that's when, presumably, they are out of school. THIS is the bullshit:

"...Initiatives such as the Walking School Bus were helping to lower the injury toll, but these tended to be concentrated in wealthier areas where parents had the time to walk their child to, and home from, school. In poorer areas, where both parents often worked, it was harder to implement such schemes..."

Here we go- it's all the fault of poverty-AGAIN. But hang on- in the 'poor' areas, presumably there are more parents with time on their hands. Don't give me that 'two parents working' crap- the same is equally true in the 'wealthy' areas.

Shall we say there is less community spirit in the poorer areas. It's hard enough to get parents involved in ANY school activities anywhere.

I would also argue that the kids of the poor are, shall we say- 'genetically pre-disposed towards suboptimal performance'...

Tell us something we all knew!

The Ad's ARE louder then the programs!

Here:

Even half-deaf types like myself knew this, but now it's proven.

This is one reason why I channel-hop. Take note advertisers- the loud ad makes me change the channel- it didn't goddamn work!

The other main reason is the endless friggin' 'Public Information' crap paid for by our taxes. The fact that smoking is not conducive to good heath is as obvious as the fact that the ads are louder. That has been fairly well known for about forty-fifty years. Those that don't get it never will- even if you add a bit of real diseased lung to each packet of fags!

BTW- Here is someone else that doesn't like the deluge of taxpayer funded stating of the bloody obvious!

Freak Show

If you want to be radically different- be prepared to accept the consequences. A hell of a lot of us don't happen to care for your weird sexuality.

If you can't make up your mind as to whether you are Arthur or Martha- that's YOUR malfunction. Deal with the fact that blokes don't want a mincing queen in the gym changing rooms and the girls don't want someone with a willy in their's.

And nobody wants somebody with stinking BO in the gym!

The gym owners probably don't give a crap about you being a gender-bender- but they DO care about customers complaining, especially when they might lose their patronage. That's the way of the world and you better get used to it.

The human rights commission need a big, fat reality pill too...

Petrol Panic!

It's a bit overdone- all the tripe about carpooling, fuel saving and the usual nauseous government interventions [retching noise]

I heard all the same blather as petrol went past the dollar a gallon mark!

Them that needs to have already economized. Those who can don't need to worry about the cost- well- they don't worry about the cost. So why wank on about carpooling like the concept has just been invented?

The whole carpooling thing only works when you have the following conditions:

  • All concerned live near each other
  • All concerned work very near to each other
  • All start and finish at the same time
  • There are no freeloaders in the pool

So that's why all the cars with one person in them!

Carless days [insert Tui ad here]

Some of us remember how well THAT brain fart worked!

Public transport would be fine IF it went where you wanted it and when- assuming you had any AND the public didn't use it. When I first started working in a prison, the smell reminded me of trains in the 1960-70's- stale tobacco and unwashed 'humanity'

And anyone suggesting lowering the speed limit to 80kph should just cut their wrists now!

Mercy, Overlord!

I love the latest drooling from stoopid Soo!

"...Ms Bradford said the report was "damning confirmation that Labour's welfare policies condemn many beneficiaries and their families to a life of debt, deprivation and despair".

It was clear Labour believed the best way to motivate beneficiaries into paid work was to keep benefits so low that people were desperate to find work whatever situation they were in..."

Link:

I'm not sure about Liarbour are aiming to do do with the poor. Nothing much, I suspect. They know well that the bottom of the heap won't vote for anybody else, so why bother with them. The same reason they don't try to appeal to the other end of the spectrum.

Ignore the bloodstock and the culls and work on the rest of the cud-chewing herd.

But Soo- you vile hypocrite- you Greenie wankers would happily drag us all* down to squalid poverty with your Luddite philosophy's. A deliberate act of destruction.

"Peanut butter & jam"

"Done"

Negotiations concluded.

The resource management act- the NIMBY's best friend

A couple of whinging arseholes have caused a project worth 60+ million a year to be lost

That 60 mill is a hell of a lot of money in a small rural town.

"...A petition in Martinborough seeking to quantify support for the cuisine school gathered a massive 1700 signatures, in a town with a population of 1200.

The sole objection to consent being given was lodged jointly by Positively Martinborough, John Porter and Christian Ullrich..."

There you have it- massive local support but let a handful of NIMBY's object and the whole deal stonewalls, as the backers can't afford to wait a couple of years for the machine to grind away.

I hope the locals consider very carefully whether they want to do business with those who use the RMA to their own ends.

Story:

Another reason to scrap the RMA

Can we have your liver then?

Fair enough, I reckon

If you are a donor, why not get dibs on spare parts!

Actually, I fail to see why anyone opposed to donating their body parts should expect to get a transplant.

It's not like this is China where the supply is ensured by forfeiting your bits & pieces for crimes against the state- yet.

Cheated- I don't think so

"Organisers of a petition to force a smacking referendum have been dealt a major blow after failing to gather enough signatures.

They now have two more months to collect enough signatures.

The petition needed 280,275 signatures to force a referendum but fell short after a number were excluded because they were either illegible, the signatory's date of birth could not be confirmed, or involved people who signed multiple times..."

I have heard this described as people 'cheating' by signing multiple times.

Knowing the tactics employed by the likes of the green and liarbour- I would think 'Sabotaged' would be more like it...

Coming to a re-education center near you

Is that fucking Pogey-bait I see, you slimy little peter-puffer!

I see you eating a fucking pineapple lump or a peanut slab I WILL RIP OFF YOUR HEAD AND SHIT DOWN YOUR NECK!

NOW DROP AND GIVE ME 50!

I WILL NOT HAVE DISGUSTING FAT BODIES IN MY WORKERS PARADISE!

Time travelling

On one of my trips to the 35th century, I happened to pick up a schoolbook for one of my host's children.

Flicking through it, I found a chapter- The 21st Century- the century of 'The Big Lie'- The Year 2000 Bug, bird flu, man-made global warming, Islam- the religion of peace.

Reading on-"These were the classic 'Big Lies' that marked the start of this century and sparked the movement leading to the total rejection of the hopelessly flawed 'Democratic' method of government.

Of course now we all realize that governance by unskilled elected officials is an jumpbug crash waiting to happen, but back then they were convinced that THIS was an enlightened form of managing a population center. It is well documented that many realized the folly of unearned franchise and that the resultant 'bread & circuses mentality would eventually destroy a society, but unfortunately for our predecessors..."

Other peoples money

Other peoples money is SO much fun to spend! And so painless when spread over a couple of million who have to actually stump up for your wet-dream!

Like the National Socialists Great Fibre Vision.

A cry taken up by all those with a vested interest (now where did I put those 'principles'?) Dangle the right bauble and they all do a Winston!

They COULD try promoting property rights that prevent the ugly threat of looting (AKA nationalizing)

Just perhaps that MIGHT encourage investment?

Who the hell would invest in a network that the powers-that-be can steal with the stroke of a pen? The mere hint of a threat of this happening will keep the cheque books closed in NZ.

Anyhoo- Liberty Scott has a great discourse on the subject here:

Most hated word of the week

'Disrespected'

This word/term gives me the shits!

MY definition "Exclamation given by a low class piece of trash when their over-inflated sense of self-worth is offended"

Example "Y'all disrespected me!"

Translation- Spoke a truthful statement regarding another of (typically) low caste

Some people need lives...

I thought we could still discriminate against fat bastards!

They got away with it- just.

Looks like soon the only ones left that are fair game are smokers and objectivists!

Back

Christchurch drivers still can't.

Tip jars- more collectivist bullshit.

Beer is cheaper in Christchurch.

English is the default setting and I don't want to "Push One" to see the display in that language.

Indicators are not an optional extra.

Things change in 14 years- a lot.

'Adventure Sports' DO contain an element of risk and danger- or they wouldn't be an adventure.

Getting from one side of Christchurch to the other IS an adventure sport!

My favorite eateries are now chains- and still great. Yay capitalism!

Sea Sickness pills don't always work on children.

There is something wrong when the Cook Strait ferry has better service than our 'National Airline' (WAY better)

Hagglunds are cool!

'Three Boys' Pilsner- worth the $7.75 a bottle.

I hate buses even more than I used to.

I hate camper vans even more than I used to.

Reminiscing Tonight

Reminiscing tonight

40 years ago I first cheated the man with the scythe for the first time, when a garage roof has a close encounter with my house. IF I had been following instructions and had stayed put, I would have been dog-tucker.

I can remember the wind and the rain as if it were yesterday.

Having a few beers, playing one of my favorites ( the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald) and thinking of the poor bastards who didn't make it that day...

Youcan't have it both ways

We keep hearing about how we ALL are responsible for the shit that happens in a community.

We keep getting asked about what are WE ALL going to do about problems.

Then when We DO SOMETHING we are the criminals and wind up in court.

In this case the locals should have shot the fuckers and deep-sixed them in a crayfish pot in 300 fathoms out in the ditch!

Who would have ever known. Or missed the shit-heads!

Health Nazi's kiss my arse!

Choke on a soya bean you peter-puffers!

Poison my arse.

"...We have a health tax on alcohol and cigarettes and there should be a health tax on butter. It's the most poisonous commonly consumed food in New Zealand..."

What a load of shite. ANYTHING will kill you if you overdo it. ANYTHING.

To call butter poisonous is just emotive twaddle. The sort of thing we are hearing more and more from liabour loving academics.

Here endth my 1000th rant!

Breaking the cycle

On the subject of full-time thieving:

"...We are never going to stop generations of burglars from burgling. It's an historic problem. Prevention is a community concept."

You can sure as hell slow it down, though.

For a repeat offense- brand 'Burglar' on the scrote's forehead.

Next time- whack a hand off.

If they can't learn from that- hang the swine!

While we are on the subject- if there isn't a market for stolen DVD's and LCD tv's- there would be FAR less of a problem. Those who support the thief buy buying dodgy items from him are as much of the problem.

They are also in need of a flogging and a spell in the stocks!

Greenery

I find the 'save the planet religion' somewhat amusing- or did until they started evangelizing.

Then, like all evangelists- they became a pain in the arse.

All my life I have been turning off lights and unused appliances, minimizing waste, recycling, reusing and generally scrounging and repairing cast-offs. I don't like waste- that's been drummed into me growing up and it always came down to money. I insulate and use low-energy whatevers WHEN they cost me less to use them and do the maths to prove that they will- or won't. All our food scraps are composted and returned to the garden.

A Greenie?- like hell- it's the Scot's blood! A dollar spent on the electricity is a dollar less for whiskey!

A refreshing change!

The trend now is for companies to give some hand-wringing response when challenged over anything environmental.

Not the chap in this story!

"...Graham Higginson, who has fished eel commercially for more than three decades in Wairarapa, was speaking yesterday after reading a Times-Age story outlining the discovery by a Featherston man on Friday of "thousands" of dead and dying eels left stranded after weed-clearing work beside a stream at Lake Reserve.

Pilcher Earthmoving owner Gary Pilcher said he had seen no eels during the weed-clearing work earlier in the week and that "when a blocked drain is holding up production I don't give a fat rat's arse about the eels I don't care"...."

The lake is in the NATURAL process of silting up, as it has been doing for many years- it is mostly about one meter deep. this is the way of these lakes and waterways- they change all on their own. Lets not stop that getting in the way of a story, though.

"...What we now are facing is nothing short of an ecological disaster that's filling Lake Onoke and Lake Wairarapa, the jewel in our crown, with sediment," he (Higginson)said..."

Nature in action- just like with climate variations!

But it's more fun to blame people...

An understatement

Weleda Heat Rub!

Deep Heat ain't worth mentioning and Tiger Balm is for Nancy boys! This stuff is really GOOD!

In a world full of product hyperbole, Weleda HEAT rub is an understatement.

While the label indicates a list of herbal nasties, I somehow think they left out a few of the ingredients- such as hydrazine, nuclear waste, fuming red nitric acid and Kaitaia Fire!

"...Apply once daily, or as directed by your practitioner. Use sparingly until you are used to the heat.

Warnings: For external use only. Wash hands thoroughly after use, and avoid contact with broken skin, mucous membranes and eyes. Not recommended for children..."

They also should mention double-gloving and wrapping the anointed part least the goo get elsewhere- heaven forbid on a pink part! Or even worse- on somebody near & dear's pink parts!

About once a year I get some minor sprain and get the tube out- this stuff is magic!

What sort of clowns...

...spend their free time (something they must have far too much of) complaining about pizza ads

I suspect it is a small group responsible for most of these complaints to the TV Nannying Body.

"...5. Charlie's Old Fashioned Lemon Soda, television ad. Children spy on a neighbour topless sunbathing, then they squeeze lemons to make a drink (23). Upheld, not socially responsible..."

I mean- really- I think these types would need a cup of tea and a lie-down after an episode of Coro St!

If my life was so pathetic, I would be begging to be put down!

Missing the point here

So Lotto will soon be available via the internet. Welcome to the 21st century.

So now the wowsers are whinging about how it will hurt the weak-willed who just can't help themselves.

"What the Government is proposing is to allow people who are very poor and beneficiaries to buy lottery products on their credit cards online in the dark," foundation chief executive John Stansfield told TV3..."

The point they should be really looking at is HOW THE HELL DO THE VERY POOR AND BENEFICIARIES GET CREDIT CARDS IN THE FIRST PLACE!

Politics, politics, politics

While on her morning walk, Helen Clark falls over, has a heart attack and dies because the accident and emergency dept at her nearest hospital is too understaffed to treat her in time.
So her soul arrives in Heaven and he is met by Saint Peter at the Pearly Gates.
"Welcome to Heaven," says Saint Peter, "Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a Socialist around these parts, so we're not sure what to do with you."
"No problem, just let me in; I'm a good Christian; I'm a believer," says the PM.
"I'd like to just let you in, but I have orders from God Himself. He says that since the implementation of his new HEAVEN CHOICES policy, you have to spend one day in Hell and one day in Heaven. Then you must choose where you'll live for eternity."
"But I've already made up my mind. I want to be in Heaven," replies Clark.
"I'm sorry .. But we have our rules," Peter interjects. And, with that, St. Peter escorts her to an elevator and he goes down, down, down
...all the way to Hell.
The doors open and he finds herself in the middle of a lush golf course.
The sun is shining in a cloudless sky. The temperature is a perfect 22C degrees. In the distance is a beautiful club-house. Standing in front of it is Norm Kirk and thousands of other Socialist luminaries who had helped her out over the years --- All of the Labour Party leaders were there .. Everyone laughing, happy, and casually but expensively dressed.
They run to greet her, to hug her and to reminisce about the good times they had getting rich at the expense of 'suckers and peasants.'
They play a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster and caviar.
The Devil himself comes up to Clark with a frosty drink, "Have a tequila and relax, Helen!"
"Uh, I can't drink anymore, I took a pledge," says Clark, dejectedly.
"This is Hell, girl. You can drink and eat all you want and not worry and it just gets better from there!"
Clark takes the drink and finds herself liking the Devil, who she thinks is a really very friendly bloke who tells funny jokes like herself and pulls hilarious nasty pranks, kind of like the ones the Labour Party pulled with the Bill Of Rights Act and the Education, Immigration, Tough on Crime promises.
They are having such a great time that, before she realises it, it's time to go. Everyone gives her a big hug and waves as she steps on the elevator and heads upward.
When the elevator door reopens, she is in Heaven again and Saint Peter is waiting for her. "Now it's time to visit Heaven," the old man says, opening the gate.
So for 24 hours Clark is made to hang out with a bunch of honest, good-natured people who enjoy each other's company, talk about things other than money and treat each other decently. Not a nasty prank or short-arse joke among them. No fancy country clubs here and, while the food tastes great, it's not caviar or lobster. And these people are all poor. She doesn't see anybody she knows and she isn't even treated like anyone special!
"Whoa," she says uncomfortably to herself. "Geoffry Palmer never prepared me for this!"
The day done, Saint Peter returns and says, "Well, you've spent a day in Hell and a day in Heaven. Now choose where you want to live for Eternity."
With the 'Deal or No Deal' theme playing softly in the background, Clark reflects for a minute ... Then answers: "Well, I would never have thought I'd say this -- I mean, Heaven has been delightful and all -- but I really think I belong in Hell with my friends."
So Saint Peter escorts her to the elevator and she goes down, down, down, all the way to Hell.
The doors of the elevator open and she is in the middle of a barren scorched earth covered with garbage and toxic industrial wasteland, looking a bit like the eroded, rabbit and fox affected Australian outback, but worse and more desolate.

She is horrified to see all of her friends, dressed in rags and chained together, picking up the roadside rubbish and putting it into black plastic bags. They are groaning and moaning in pain, faces and hands black with grime.
The Devil comes over to Clark and puts an arm around her shoulder." I don't understand," stammers a shocked Clark, "Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and a club-house and we ate lobster and caviar and drank tequila. We lazed around and had a great time. Now there's just a wasteland full of garbage and everybody looks miserable!"
The Devil looks at her, smiles slyly and purrs, "Yesterday we were campaigning; today you voted for us!"

Here endth the lesson...

Resource Management Act [Tui ad here]

"Greytown people are either in the happy situation where money is no object or they just can't get the message when it comes to saving water.

The town's water usage is way out of whack with other towns in South Wairarapa and with metered water now a reality the financial cost of wasting it will soon hit home.

"...Latest figures show that Greytown soaked up 73,353 cubic metres in February more than 12,000cu m more than Martinborough, and 20,000cu m more than Featherston.

Over the last year Greytown has consistently used far more reticulated water each month than either of the other two towns and in winter uses double the amount used in Martinborough despite having only fractionally more connections to the water mains..."

Link:

These people are the highest per capita water users in NZ. The RMA does diddly squat about their water use/abuse. Water meter mean they will have to pay. This will be a big fat 'so what' When you have spent 20k on landscaping for your quaint little cottage, you don't give a shit about another grand a year in water charges.

Nor does the RMA stop farmers pumping aquifers dry to keep their cows producing milk, in the same area.

So what does the RMA do- jack squat.

Scrap the fricking waste of time RMA!. All it does is add costs to projects that will happen regardless.

The SWDC don't have the balls to enforce their minimal restrictions- as all the locals know. So the locals will continue to hose down their fences & driveways during the middle of summer without fear of penalty.

To the locals- don't bother to call your local councilors. It ain't entirely their fault. The non-elected 'officials' are the ones running out of control.

Think about that last point...

On divorce

Every now and again I see something saying that yet another person I know has seperated/divorced.

As often as not I know that these are good people.

Not some feckless twats that have just played the French card after a few months.

I can't help but wonder why I have remained married. Apparently, the odds of remaining married ( with an Autistic child) are less than 20% in the 5 year period.

Like Han Solo in SW4- NEVER tell me the odds!

Perhaps I took the vows literally...

No future- for you

I was sent a link to this story by Crusader Rabbit.

Bloody depressing stuff- well, it would be if it didn't make my friggin' blood boil! I would like to put them out of their misery with one through the back of the head!

"Known as the "Shameless" family among horrified neighbours, the McFaddens "boast" three generations of adults who are not working.

All ten members of the clan share a council house and live off benefits amounting to around £32,000 a year. And very happy they are, too..."

This sorry shower of shite are in the UK- I wish the local spineless media would do a few stories on our home-grown variety of leech. Of course, there is a high probability of them being brown or brindle, so the gods of PC would be offended. There are a bunch of them up the road- every sunny day they are out front drinking beer and RTD's all day long. Work is something that happens to somebody else!

They are a classic case of the belief in 'Entitlement' that is becoming more and more entrenched here- we are just 1-2 generations behind the Brit's- and these sorts have a far shorter period between those generation, breeding to a 16-year cycle!

This one in particular bugs the crap out of me:

"Steven left school 23 years ago and has worked for only five years in that time. It's 12 years since he last had a job. Steven lives in Swansea with partner Donna, 24, who's never worked, and their daughter Celsea, three. His eldest daughter from a previous partner, 17-year-old Jessica, is also on benefits.

Steven says: "Mum never really made us think about work. I did do a plumbing YTS scheme after school. They paid £27 a week, but it was so boring looking at pipes and sinks all day. When I told my dad I was bored, he said I should never stick with a job I didn't like.

"So, eventually, in my 20s, I thought: "I've tried security work and plumbing and I've even been a taxi driver for six months, but I just don't like working". My mates all left school and became mechanics, sweating it out in stinking, dirty garages for a couple of hundred quid a week.

"I'm much better off than any of them. The highlight of their day is going to the bakery to get a pasty for lunch and they've aged 20 years from the stress of working for a pittance and being stuck indoors all day. It's my right to claim benefits. We're all entitled to do what we want in life.

"I could have trained as a fireman or something, but I didn't want the responsibility. All I've ever wanted is to chill out and have easy money. All my family and friends live in council houses - my parents included..."

Yeah, I would like to spend the rest of my life under a shady tree drinking beer- I have to settle for doing it in the weekend after my chores here are done. There is a convenient branch on my shady apple tree that is just right to hang that idle fucker from!

Public 'Holidays'

There has been a lot of fuss about shops opening- or wanting to open- 365 days a year.

I can't see what the fuss is all about. There are already a hell of a lot of us working 365 (366 days this year)

It doesn't matter how 'special' the day may be to some- they still expect essential workers to turn out. Hear a Cop or a fireman moaning about working Christmas and they will soon be told that they must have known that this would be part of the job. We all know that- and there are a lot of us for whom the job never stops. We well know it 'goes with the job'

Why are shop workers different? They know that modern retailing is as near as to a 365 p/a job- so don't cry about them 'being forced' to work.

Coming back to the sacredness of some days- they sure ain't so precious that *EVERYONE* HAS to take a day off!

Although it may be interesting to have an 'Essential Workers' day off.

Going without us for a day may make some appreciate what you have- and who makes it happen!

Home D for a Pervert

"Three teenage girls who were indecently assaulted by their Auckland teacher say their education and confidence were severely dented by the offending.

A jury last month found Smith guilty of four charges of indecent assault and two of sexual conduct against a girl under 16.

The charges related to three girls between the ages of 12 and 16 and happened between 2002 and 2006..."

IMNSHO, a person who abuses a position of trust should get the book thrown at them, not a slapping with a wet bus ticket!

I've seen guys locked up for a lot less!

There is a hell of an outcry when a cop is tried for being a dirty sleaze and they are vilified by the media. Why should a schoolteacher get any less?

SNAFU ahoy!

"The Government is proposing a new national environmental standard for freshwater resources which it says will be like a regulation on its use."

Great- another regulation and following the usual trend- one that will make the situation worse than it already is!

This is yet another blatant admission that the POS Resource Management Act DOESN'T BLOODY WORK! THIS act is meant to manage water take.

The only thing all these loads of bollocks do is RAISE THE BLOODY PRICE OF THE RESOURCES. Correction- and increase the power and cost of of local government.

It's called 'Passion Fingers Syndrome'- everything they touch, they.... well you can figure out the rest!

Reason #478849 not to like local (or the other) government

They get dumbass ideas like this:

A painting- what the hell are you 'thinking'!

This is not why we pay rates aka TAX.

WE want water, sewers, roads and a few parks. That's IT!

What they are talking about amounts to the tax on TWENTY properties. Twenty Ratepayers have to cough up $1300 (the going rate here) apiece for a bloody painting!

Hold a friggin' raffle- have a cake stall.

Or dare I say it- if you think it is a good idea- dig deep into YOUR OWN pockets.

Masterton Hospital

Some members of the public service have a useful-indeed valuable- place in our world.

My heartfelt thanks for making an unpleasant experience no more unpleasant than it needed to be!

When I'm clobbering the public service- some are excluded unless specifically mentioned- you are one of those groups!

Unwilling compromise

The powers that be don't like us protecting ourselves and the police head shed don't like the idea of us outgunning them (not hard)

Heres an idea from out of the box:

Cap & ball pistols are OK for self-defense and public carry- with the proviso that you must pass a qualification similar to that of the police to carry in public.

These firearms are not something that can be easily used without a fair bit of dedication and practice. Some wanker finding one and trying to make it go bang is most likely to lose a hand. Hell, most of them couldn't pick up a correctly loaded piece and make it go bang!

Fat friggin' chance in a nanny state that doesn't even approve of citizens having pepper spray....

A new pleasure!

4 1/2 pounds of steel and wood. 60 grains of FFFG pushing a 147 grain lead ball rather fast and with lots of smoke, flame and noise!

No doubt this has a HUGE carbon footprint!

The Walker Colt was the worlds most powerful handgun until the .357 came along in the 1930's

And now I have one!

Update:

I fired up that hog-leg today and it's as good as they said. Being such a big smoker, the recoil is negligible- it has the power of a .357, but shoots like a .38 S&W!

Next step is to try it on paper, then to try and find a holster for it- A couple of local wits have suggested a carbine bag!

Up yours asshole!

"This drought is a regional event and your region has been hit hard but you're likely to cope it's not the end of the world," Agriculture Minister Jim Anderton said yesterday at the drought committee meeting in Masterton.

He was visiting drought-stricken areas of Wairarapa, including Pahiatua and Greytown, before returning to the Beehive last night..."

Not the end of the world to you-ya wanker.

YOUR income is secure you arsewipe parasite. Take a look at how many farmers have topped themselves.

DO you know how that feels? To know how people are driven to total desperation and kill themselves because nobody appear to be helping or wants to know.

Cleanout day

Today I'm sitting at home drinking Klean-Prep (It doesn't say I CAN'T flavor it with Tequila!)

Not eating is a drag and that continues until Friday night.

The nasty part of colonic cleaning hasn't started yet, but that can't be too far away.

Tomorrow it's time to meet the Anal Intruder. I hope the medication is good- I want total sensory deprivation AND backup drugs!

Franchise chains

Take a good store and fill it with wage slaves who know feck all about the products they make little attempt to sell.

Hunting and Fishing would be the latest example I have struck.

Today we went there, as the wife was interested in a particular rifle advertised in their advertiser magazine.

"Have you got one to look at?"

"No"

"when are they coming?"

"If someone orders one"

"I don't buy stuff I haven't seen"

"Oh"

Kiss at least a grand good-buy wage slave.

We need to clean out the public service, so they can fill the jobs fruit picking, the fruit-pickers can replace the dung-gatherers- WHO CAN THEN STAFF THE FRICKIN SHOPS!

More PC twittery

Godwins 'Law'

The PC set love this- the idea that anyone who makes comparison to Hitler or the Nazis in general has automatically 'lost' the argument.

Some annoying little twat (who is not worthy of linking) pulled this card over at Whaleoils blog the other day, confirming MY theory that anyone that invokes Godwins Law has no penis.

Originally, this 'Law' was referring to hyperbole and has been adopted by the shirt-lifters of the left, irked at the inconvenient comparisons of their heroes to the swastika-wearing socialists. (It's OK to make reference to Bushchimphitler, mind.

I think what stings most is that these comparisons are getting frighteningly close to truth and are no longer hyperbole. The obsession with erosion of rights, suppression of freedom of speech- need I go on!

This has become another insidious bit of PC- the attempt to shut down discussion the moment someone is labeled a brown shirt wearer.

The PC set take the view that anyone who criticizes or labels a practice PC is uninformed, ignorant and uneducated.

BULLSHIT. The average Trev on the street has a pretty fair idea what PC is and he doesn't like it- even if he can't describe it.

He probably hasn't heard of Godwins law but could clearly and concisely tell you where to stick it!

Not PC

There has been a lot of waffle about PC on kiwiblog.

Some twat says that those who use this term use it when talking about stuff they don't understand.

I understand throwing a 68 year old woman off a bridge is bad. Saying I would like to open a can of whoop-ass on the black prick that threw her off is probably defined as not PC and probably redneck vigilante hate-speech.

So be it. I would still like to play king of the bridge with Mr Sambo Darkie Coon.

I know I'm being offensive. Throwing a pensioner of a bridge is more so.

If you don't like that- please feel free to go fuck yourself.

Cretins at play

A call from a tramper in the Tararua Range who claimed his friend had been stabbed has left police stumped.

The 111 call, made from a cellphone at 5.20am on Thursday, first went through to the ambulance service.

The caller said that he was in the Tararuas between One Tree Hill in the Featherston area and Jumbo Hut in the Carterton area.

That is just slightly better than giving their LOC as 'Directly over the center of the Earth'

Let's hope a fat bill for wasting police time(AKA taxpayers money) and a good kick up the arse is forthcoming!

But I'm not hopeful...

Coming up soon..

Cry me a friggin' river...

This scrote thinks his eight year sentence was too harsh for stealing 3.48 million.

Bollocks!

For a start- he won't do eight years.

Second- you don't get rewarded because the loot you nicked was recovered, you pleaded guilty or cooperated with the police. That should just save you from more time.

Third- some of that friggin' money was mine!

This prick likes to live off the taxpayer, so now he gets what he wanted. Rent & board provided for the next couple of years!

I believe that he should be spending his sentence at very hard labour so he can learn what work is, have 'Thief' branded on his forehead and be NEVER given another benefit for ANY reason.

And now for something completely different!

Having done a deep and meaningful post elsewhere, I'm out of time so here is some eye-candy!

The bottom of the barrel

We are well and truly there when it comes to employment.

This is why my last post details the slovenliness of the staff hired by the previous establishment.

So often now those hiring don't even do cursory checks of new staff- because they know they will get nobody else- the best they can hope for is that a decent worker is currently between jobs.

Locally, I know of one who was fired for thieving and is now in another job handling money. No checks made there- not even a phone call to the last employer.

The next time you are at a supermarket and wonder why there are long lines and unmanned checkouts- it's because they can't get staff- at least those who turn up every day.

Fruit rots on tree and vine because nobody is there to pick it ($12.50/hr doesn't exactly help here, mind)

The shonkey cleaners on 'Target' are only going to get worse!

Then there is the attitude that 'entry- point' positions are beneath them. Once they were considered opportunities...

Fast food disapointments- BK Paraparaumu

Usually Burger King are reliable- the burgers are the best mass-produced fast food out there- and in this case they were of the usual acceptable standard for factory fodder.

HOWEVER- the Paraparaumu BK itself proved to be a poorly run example of why we have Council lackeys inspecting such places (without any effect, of course)

This place had low standards, which they failed to achieve. The floor looked like they were experimenting with using soft drink residue to increase traction and reduce slip hazards. It reminded me of the Trentham Camp Baggies Bar, where years of coagulated beer prevented one slipping over when wearing Nomads and one walked with a squelching sound.

Normally a BK is sparking and a model of cleanliness. This one was grimy- the buildup of filth on the window frames gave evidence that this was an on-going problem. The aged piece of lettuce on the back of my seat had obviously been there for some time, going by it's advance state of decomposition. (it was grey)

We arrived at noon. During the extended wait while they stuffed up a simple order, a slattern arrived to clear the tables of debris and spread the bacteria evenly with a sponge that had not been recently acquainted with hot water or disinfectants.

The children's play area had been overrun with feral kiddies who gave indications of having passed puberty, even if they had never hit the median score on an IQ test.

The soft drink station was awash with spilled crud and scattered straws. An endless precession of the mindless continued to fill assorted containers- non purchased on the premises with the sugared stimulant of choice. The staff seemed oblivious to this.

As is not uncommon, I had to badger the minimum wage workers for the remainder of our order that they had previously agreed to deliver [insert Tui ad here]

Now all the other BK's I have patronized have been good- clean and efficient and this is not to say I recommend avoiding them- just that hole of pestilence at Paraparaumu!

Finding the unexpected

Practical information- from a government agency!

I'm looking at a cookbook called 'The Great little Cookbook'- this is a collaboration by WINZ and a Health board.

I have always advocated the Edmonds Cookbook for those domestically challenged and broke- this book takes it further, with info on how to budget, plan shopping lists and menus as well as how to cook basic foods (non-packaged or pre-prepared stuff)

Well done- information both practical and useful.

What's the difference?

Some would have you believe there is no real difference between Nation and Labour.

There is- it's the difference between attacked by sand flies or vampire bats.

(or possibly the difference between being drag-hanged or beheaded.)

The choice is easy, but that doesn't mean you particularly like either option!

Home Alone

It's one of those rare nights where I'm the only one at home, as everyone has buggered off camping.

I'm on-call so can't leave the area.

Camping makes less and less sense these days. When I lived in a crappy flat, camping was a reasonable summer option.

Now that I have a much more comfortable house, with three fridges, air conditioning, dishwasher and all the other comforts of modern living- I can't see the appeal in sleeping in a tent!

No big comfy chairs, no warm towels and having to share showers and dunny with commoners! No doors to keep the kids out!

Forget it!

It would be so much nicer if I could actually have a drink of some kind, but the industrial strength antibiotics I'm on rule that out! Apparently this medication has the same effect as Disulfuram and I ain't going to go there!

But its working, so another week without drink is a small price to pay!

Ninnies, Nannies and Numptys

Banging on about carbon friggin' footprints on TV!

The one where a sanctimonious old slapper takes families for task for daring to consume stuff particularly pisses me off. The other day she was wanking on about the evils of heated towel rails and heated mirrors. Well- I happen to like a warm, dry towel in a warm dry bathroom and don't give a monkey's if it DOES use $100 worth of electricity a YEAR.

I wonder what the inside of HER house is like? No doubt full of all the modern conveniences.

I bet she is like the local council piece of vileness that goes about nitpicking or inventing problems will all the contractors work. Her own property looks like something out of Steptoe & Son!

All these little niceties are what makes life that much easier and enjoyable. As a kid, I lived the hair-shirt lifestyle with minimal heating, damp all winter and a bath every week whether or not you needed it- like most of NZ in the sixties. I sure as hell ain't going back to one two-bar heater for a whole house!

I'm glad nobody speaks of carbon footprints in the real world. They might just receive one of my footprints and like my carbon one- it is a big one!

meanwhile- back in the world of the consequence-free enviroment...

Judith Collins MP
National Party Welfare Spokeswoman

19 February 2008

WINZ pays for drunk-drivers to get cars back

Social Development Minister Ruth Dyson needs to explain why she is allowing Work and Income to pay for beneficiaries who have been caught drunk-driving and who have committed other driving offences to have their vehicles handed back to them, says National's Welfare spokeswoman, Judith Collins.

"This practice is rife and has been confirmed by towing companies up and down the country.

"It is outrageous that taxpayer money is being used to basically subvert a legal process to allow people who have committed driving offences to basically get off scott-free.

"Ruth Dyson, when alerted to the fact this was going on last year, told Parliament that before Work and Income would consider whether to pay a beneficiary's parking fine or car towage fees, it would consider whether the applicant had contributed to their situation.

"She further told Parliament that it would be 'unusual for assistance of this type to be provided'.

"We now know that rather than being 'unusual', it is very common for Work and Income to direct-credit tow truck firms to pay outstanding towage and storage costs for beneficiaries whose cars have been impounded because they've been caught drunk-driving or have had their licences stripped from them for other driving offences.

"Rather than considering who is at fault in this situation, Work and Income is paying out taxpayer money to enable people who have unregistered and unsafe cars to get those vehicles back.

"Towing companies are fed up and say they're going public because most New Zealanders would share their alarm.

"Unfortunately, the Minister continues to show how out of touch she is with the pulse of the nation, preferring to turn a blind eye to this unacceptable practice."

Whats actually happening here...

I have been getting a few emails wondering what I'm up to - I just caught up with the hotmail box that I hadn't visited for about a month.

On 26th December I came down with persistant diarrhea that refuses to go away. This has the local doctors baffled and I am impatiently awaiting a specialist's appointment next week.

This has hit me pretty hard, as my blood sugar has gone high- previously I was diet-controlled. I have gotten dehydrated quite badly a couple of times (as in falling down or flaking out for a couple of hours) and have lost about 25kg so far.

I'm still working as there aren't a whole lot of other options for me. I just have to carry a couple of changes of clothes with me. Shitting your pants 3 times a day and fouling the bed at night on a regular basis does seem to induce a certain lowness of spirits...

By playing around with diet, I have gotten the diarrhea minimized (mostly- now down to about 5BM's a day instead of 20+) by going gluten-free, eating very little meat and cutting out all caffeine, alcohol and diet soft drinks- as well as cutting back on all dairy, fruits and sugar! I'm not a fun person to take out for a meal, but my blood sugar is now normal and I don't have to sleep on a waterproof babies blanket and a towel now!

As a result of all of this, I'm absolutely knackered and spend much of my time off sleeping.

I have had worse and no doubt will be back to 'normal' one of these days. On the plus side- I haven't been this size for near 20 years!

Affordable Housing- for whom?

Affordable Housing- read highly subsidized by (guess who) housing!

I can see it now- first a cheap and easy design will be found.

The greenies won't like them- so:

Add:
Eco-friendly building materials
Super insulation
Solar water heating
low energy appliances
double glazing
heat pumps
Etc, etc.

Iwi will get a say and decide they are to small to accommodate all the cuzzies at once. They will have to be bigger.

The mother hen brigade will demand monitored smoke alarms, sprinkler systems, shatter-proof glass, fire escapes, wheelchair access, medical alert systems, childproof fencing and flameproof curtains.

Then a new department of political officers will need to be hired, to monitor the evil capitalist contractors who will do the actual work.

See if they don't!

Stick to caravan parks.

"Three trampers have reached safety after walking out of the Arthurs Pass National Park and have lashed authorities who refused a helicopter access to the park to rescue them..."

Go better prepared, you pussies. You can't rely on a chopper there as the weather can be extreme. That's why you should be carrying extra rations. So you can wait it out when the weather turns to crap- as it does.

Everyone expects to phone up and be 'rescued' these days.

Wasn't Barkers Hut up to the expected 4-star standard? Back in the 80's it was a fetid little hovel, but a welcome one when the wind and snow was doing it's thing.

Trampers ain't what they used to be!

You were lucky this time. Sounds like the pilots did a great job.

But you passengers need to fight harder- you are fighting for your lives here!

This is something everyone who gets on a plane needs to think about. Be prepared to give it everything and STOMP THE FUCKER'S GUTS OUT!

That POS should have gone of the plane in a body bag.

Grab an arm from each side. Use your teeth and try to bite right through the arm. While they are held anyone else that can get into the fight pound her to pudding. When she looks like five tonnes of quivering, bloody sushi on the deck of a whaler- you are getting there!

It's YOUR lives- and remember- right then, those of the crew are far more important than yours.

Unbelievable Dumbfuckery!

Yesterday morning I was stopped at a Featherston rail crossing, as the lights and bells were going. I glanced down the tracks to see a train at the station and in doing so, I saw a 2-3 year-old child walking down the tracks!

I got on the horn and gave a long blast, then unlocked my belt to get out and make a run for the kid. Before I opened the door, I saw an 'adult' who was in my blind spot, walking just ahead of the child. They then wandered off the tracks to stand in the middle of the road and talk to someone in a car waiting on the other side.

You just have to wonder how some moron rock-apes manage to remember to keep breathing...

Teachers not up to scratch

So sayeth one of their own

"...School heads rated 73 per cent of short-listed applicants in November and December as "very poor" or "poor", the Auckland Primary Principals' Association staffing survey found.

Almost half the applicants were beginning teachers - meaning they had less than two years' experience and needed mentoring - and a third were applying from overseas..."

So they are saying that graduate teachers- taught by other teachers- are no good.

Guess what- employers have been saying that about the majority of school leavers for years! You were in denial about pushing semi-literate simians out into the workplace- now the chickens have come home to roost!

My experience with one student teacher is training has been less than positive. We have had one doing temp work over the holidays and she was lazy, unwilling to learn or get her hands dirty in any way- along with being as dumb as mud.

We have blokes working for us that are totally illiterate but they can follow instructions !

Retired Green Beret shoots intruder, gets court martial

Retired Green Beret shoots intruder, gets court martial

BREVARD, Jan. 19, 2008 - Retired Army Green Beret James T. (Smokey) Taylor got his court martial this weekend and came away feeling pretty good about it.

Taylor, at age 79, is one of the oldest members of Chapter XXXIII (The Larry Thorne Chapter) of the Special Forces Association. He was placed on trial by fellow Chapter XXXIII members under the charge of "failing to use a weapon of sufficient caliber" in the shooting of an intruder at his home in Knoxville , TN , in November.

The court martial, of course, was very much tongue in cheek. The event itself was deadly serious.

Taylor had been awakened in the early morning hours of November 5, 2007,when an intruder broke into his home. He investigated the noises with one of his many weapons in hand.

"It was just after Halloween, on Monday morning at 4:30," Taylor said. I heard this commotion at the door and grabbed my fishing gun, a little .22 revolver, to see what was going on. I got to the front door and this fellow had ripped my security door out of its frame. He said, 'you're going to have to kill me. I'm coming in.'"

When a warning to leave went unheeded, Taylor brought his .22 caliber pistol to bear and shot him right between the eyes.

"I was about four feet away from him when I shot," Taylor said. "Looking back now, I'm glad he didn't die, but that boy had the hardest head I've ever seen. The bullet bounced right off."

The impact knocked the would-be thief down momentarily. He crawled out of the house then got up and ran down the street. Taylor dialed 911 and Knoxville police apprehended the wounded man about 200 yards away, hiding in a hedgerow.

Complicating the case, as well as the court martial, the offender was released on bail but failed to appear for his court date. Knoxville police said the man was homeless. They did not know his whereabouts or why he had been given bail.

The charges brought against Taylor by his fellow Green Berets were considered to be serious. He is a retired Special Forces Weapons Sergeant with extensive combat experience during the wars in Korea and Vietnam .

"Charges were brought against him under the premise that he should have saved the county and taxpayers the expense of a trial," said Chapter XXXIII President Bill Long of Asheville , NC.

The trial was held at the Hampton Inn in Brevard, part of the group's regularly scheduled quarterly meeting. Long appointed a judge, Bert Bates, a defense counsel, Jim Hash, and a prosecutor, Charlie Ponds. All are retired Special Forces non-commissioned officers with extensive combat and weapons experience.

Ponds outlined the case against Taylor , emphasizing that the citizens of Knox County were going to be burdened with significant costs to again apprehend, and then prosecute and defend the would-be burglar.

"Proper choice of a larger caliber gun would have spared the citizens this financial burden," Ponds said, "while removing one bad guy from the streets for good. He could have used a .45 or .38. The .22 just wasn't big enough to get the job done. Hash disagreed. He said Taylor had done the right thing in choosing to arm himself with a 22.

"If he'd used a .45 or something like that the round would have gone right through the perp, the wall, the neighbor's wall and possibly injured some innocent child asleep in its bed. I believe the evidence shows that Smokey Taylor exercised excellent judgment in his choice of weapons. He clearly remains to this day an excellent weapons man."

Hash then floated a theory as to why the bullet bounced off the perp's forehead. "He was victimized by old ammunition," he said, "just as he was in Korea and again in Vietnam , when his units were issued ammo left over from World War II."

Taylor said nothing in his own defense, choosing instead to allow his peers to debate the matter. The jury, consisting of all the members of the Chapter, discussed the merits of choosing a larger caliber weapon as well as the obvious benefits to society of permanently deleting the intruder so he would never again threaten any private citizen.

The other side of the coin, that of accidentally causing injury to a completely innocent citizen if a more powerful gun had been used, also gained considerable support.

Following testimony from both sides, Judge Bates determined the charges should be dismissed. The decision was met with a round of applause. In fact, there was strong sentiment expressed that Taylor should receive an award for not only choosing wisely in picking up the 22, but for the accuracy of his aim under difficult and dangerous conditions.

After the trial Taylor said the ammunition was indeed old and added the new information that the perp had soiled his pants as he crawled out the door. "I would have had an even worse mess to clean up if it had gone through his forehead," Taylor said. "It was good for both of us that it didn't."

Meanwhile, back in Knox County , the word is out: Don't go messing with Smokey Taylor. He just bought a whole bunch of fresh ammo.

Tribune Editor Bill Fishburne is a member of the Larry Thorne Chapter XXXIII of the Special Forces Association.

Carbon footprint bollocks!

Greytown gets a new ambulance.

Just another local interest story until I read this bit:

"We specifically got the smaller 2.2 litre engine because we are mindful of our carbon footprint."

What a load of old arse!

This is an ambulance- they are big heavy vehicles and need to go fast- not just go fast but accelerate briskly. That's how you get past retards who won't pull over for the lights & siren!

They need a big-arsed 6-litre turbo diesel engine- not something taken from a golf cart!

Carbon friggin' footprint indeed!

A while back we were at the park, when my five year-old raced off into the cemetery next door and started running about yelling and hitting headstones.

.375 H&H magnum

I got to fire one today, through a very nice Steyr-Mannlicher

It was an older model than the ones on their website, but still a superior piece. So well made that it felt like firing a 30-06!

So now I've been there, done that AND fired the Elephant gun!
