It's not as if we don't have enough home-grown scumbag criminal welfare leeches here already.

We need to put the fences and gates around the worst communities. The gates would be a good place to put the local police station, too.

In my area, most of the police calls are to a block not much more than 500m on a side.
I had a small mountain of surplus books and I decided to turn them into money. I have never been into the selling thing and it a bit of a challenge to try something new.

Turns out that I'm not too bad at it.

This has also led to a lot more reading. It's a double win for me. I buy books, read them, then sell them.
This is the other reason I have absent.
It doesn't really matter with local body elections.

I'm positive that for the main part, anyone standing for public office should be automatically excluded from it.

There are exceptions to all things, but what I mainly see are those with a particular axe to grind (usually to their own benefit) or the 'Look at ME!' types.

At least the second category does less harm, while they do no good.

One thing particularly bothers me. They rarely declare their political stance- only those where they are known to belong to a political party and cannot hide it seem to declare. I think a <strike>trough slurper</strike> candidate's voting history should be out in the open.

I now offer my services as 'Lotto Winner Coach'.

The idea is I help you keep your winnings by teaching you how to say 'NO!', in an assertive manner.

Much of this saying 'NO!" will be to yourself.

I will also teach you options: DON'T go out for dinner, but Do buy that nice piece of steak.

My second-hand bookshop is now ticking along. I found a newer Mac, with a couple of squirrels in the power box and will make an effort to do at least an occasional rant in the old style.

So many meatheads- where to start?

Somewhere local, I think.

There is far to much oxygen criminally wasted here on what the media perceives as happening with the US elections.

The murdered woman moves in political circles and was known to have made submissions against family court reforms.

To me, that must be investigated as a motive. I bet the cops won't have missed that possibility.

So, that could make this an assassination. A political murder.

Which would account for this case being presented as a random killing. Governments don't like assassination. It's not a big deal killing 'little people' but they don't like the idea that the plebs might get the idea that they can target them.

decisions.

Said idiots speed up at passing lanes and slow down again
afterwards, and I see this almost every day. I've seen drivers reach
licence-losing speeds to pass these fools, pull in front them and slow
down, and even force them to almost a stop to let streams of frustrated
drivers go by. Idiots who drive slowly and try and force that on other
drivers are in my mind a large part of the reason for road deaths.

Our police refuse to deal with it. All they see is the rash
overtaking, the excess speeds, the too-close following distances,
because, you know, better too slow than too fast.

This laziness on the part of the police has to stop. They should
be focusing on all aspects of driving, but especially on behaviour that
frustrates other motorists. Refusal to move over on multi-lane roads;
travelling slowly and not allowing others to pass; speeding up at
passing lanes; speeding up when others try to pass; failure to indicate
intentions..."

Well-said!

I was in a line following a slack-jawed moron, doing 65k on the open road a few days ago. Totally oblivious to those stuck behind him. Even worse are the assholes who are playing speed vigilante, deliberatly forcing the traffic to slow to a speed THEY consider safe.
Hell, in NZ they could give all their stocks of 5.56 to the cops, who could certainly use getting some rounds down the range.Oswald Bastablehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11828229103486326473noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14299289.post-24841867662501934392015-12-08T21:09:00.003+13:452015-12-08T21:09:39.367+13:45What a feckin' lightweight"Just one bottle is enough to get me drunk, according to emergency

750 mls of 4% beer and you are drunk. Join the Salvation Army now, and leave the drinking to those who enjoy it. And stop labeling anyone who can drink more than that an alcoholic.

Drinking steadily and at a moderate pace, it's not so hard for a healthy young man to put away a crate OVER THE COURSE OF AN AFTERNOON AND NIGHT'S DRINKING. A few quiet beers in the afternoon, a barbecue and an evening of drinks in good company and that crate is gone, especially in the summer.

Not everyone is into speed guzzling and most that do get over that real quick. the results are not pleasant- although rarely fatal drinking crate beer. You puke it out before doing any real harm.

These wowsers need to come to terms with the fact that NZ'rs like to drink. Get over it.

Punish the ones that play up after drinking. Leave the rest alone. For most of them, it's a bit of respite from a shitty, low-payed job and not much of a future to look forward to.Oswald Bastablehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11828229103486326473noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14299289.post-15594096507148505002015-12-06T17:11:00.000+13:452015-12-06T17:11:11.882+13:45Oh no-The planet!Your stinkin' Prius won't save the planet when you are up against nature.
The most appalling massacre of innocents has faded out rather quickly. Only Americans, I suppose and it's their own fault for owning so many guns.

Or was it that no rugby players were slain? That would tie up the front page for a week or two.
They are in too deep with their own agenda and lies to finally come out and say that the Emperor is buck naked and it ain't a pretty sight.Oswald Bastablehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11828229103486326473noreply@blogger.com1
