Couldn't you make more soup instead?

"Wellington's hungry will soon be able to surf the internet while they eat with the launch of a computer hub at the Soup Kitchen on Tory St.
Wellington Mayor Celia Wade-Brown will launch the lab, which is a collaboration between the Suzanne Aubert Compassion Centre, internet freedom group Retake the Net and Wellington ICT, on Friday.
Dubbed the Soup Hub, computers will be available to those at the Soup Kitchen as well as refugees and immigrants attending English lessons at the compassion centre..."

It's bad enough that you are encouraging the pigeons by feeding them! Is there a need for the net amongst bums?

Ratepayers serving up free Internet to the homeless?

Nearly as bad as taxpayers funding those that can't budget at the local WINZ lotto shop with emergency loans to pimp their rides or top up their texts.

Where would the terminally poverty ridden be without technology? Out of my feckin' wallet for one!

Who told Celia Wide-Fuckwit that the role of councils is wealth re-distribution?
This is nothing more or less than outright theft.
