My opinions on matters of the day that, generally, have pissed me off.
Being described as a 'Surly Curmudgeon', by those who meet me on a good day, I have a poor regard for the human species.

I hope it's a nice public show and he goes out squeeling like a scalded pig!
I wonder what the TV rights would cost?

Saddam was not only a sadistic tyrant, but also vain who wished to be remembered as a modern-day Saladin. Found by the US forces hiding in a hole near Tikrit was humiliating in the extreme which severely detracted from his image, as will the decision to be hanged rather than shot like the military man he imagined he was. He is livid as now he has lost face in the Islamic world.
