Quarantine Time

For South Auckland:

"...Operation Safer Counties-Manukau was run on Friday and Saturday nights with checkpoints on several major roads, including the southern motorway.

Ms Wells said 13,356 vehicles were stopped and drivers breath tested.

Of those, 274 returned positive results and would face prosecution in the next two weeks.

A further 34 drivers had blood samples taken and were awaiting results..."

Following on from this story:

"Police want armed patrols on Auckland's streets 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

"Armed response vehicles" would be manned by firearms specialists and provide a quick response to call-outs like last week's shooting of Manurewa liquor store owner Navtej Singh..."

How much more evidence do we need that this area- or large parts of it- are out of control.

Its time for to shut this hell-hole down at night and put curfews in place! It needs the treatment that New York got.

Zero tolerance for scumbags.

The area is locked down, with the assistance of the military, if needed. Anyone out after curfew is arrested. Anyone resisting arrest can expect to be tasered, chewed on by a German Shepherd or shot. Mobs will be dispersed with teargas, water cannon and active denial weapons.

And before the hand-wringers start crying 'Ghetto'- it already is...

Update:
Michael Laws writes a good piece on our chickenshit policing.
