Cut off their oxygen

Lots of babies, lots of partners, lots of houses and lots of benefits.

"Welcome to the career dream of young boys already failing in the education system.

Alison Sutherland, who works in Wairarapa schools with children who have behavioural problems, says many of the boys she deals with – who haven't even reached their teenage years – can only see being the father of children and living with their mothers ahead.

"That is their career future," she said of youngsters who were opting out of education and employment because they saw babies as a source of income.

But coupled with the desire for children was a complete lack of understanding of what being a good parent might entail.

"There is no warmth about loving little children or wanting to be good parents. It is purely about this being a pathway to an income," the one-time principal of a youth justice facility school said.

"They have a perception that their future is to be unemployed. That is their norm. They have no sensitivity for the children – they see it as their form of income."..."

Yet there are still many that refuse to believe that things happen this way . Maybe not so much in their rose-tinted world. Time to cut off their oxygen...

Aggressive begging

"A bylaw to ban begging in Porirua is being considered to combat an increase in incidents of youths accosting shoppers and asking for cash.

Kapiti Mana police area commander inspector John Spence met with Porirua Mayor Nick Leggett on the issue last week.

Mr Spence said the number of complaints to police concerning street beggars in central Porirua and Cannons Creek - particularly groups of kids, often near ATM machines - had increased in the past 12 to 18 months..."

I prefer the idea of culling them like pigeons. They have bred to numbers that the ecosystem can no longer support- so they have to be thinned out.

Yes, my views on Haiti ARE harsh. Some would say brutal and I wouldn't disagree with them.

No doubt about that and BTW- it says much about the people who visit here that they can disagree without geting personal about it!

What sparked off that post was a clip of 'victims' DEMANDING aid and right now- not asking or pleading-DEMANDING.

Do they think there is an aid convoy waiting offshore 'just in case'? Reality is that even in well resouced 'can-do' countries disaster victims have to wait for the cavalry.

This whole affair reminds me of what happens here on a daily basis, but on a much larger scale. That of dysfuctional families requiring that we pick up the tab and provide the help for their misadventures and blundering passage through life.

Now with welfare- on a small or nationwide scale- there needs to be hooks attached to aid. When you want somebody to provide you with the means to keep living, you must accept conditions.

Like kicking out the rulers who's corruption has squandered past aid
Like accepting governance from outside (but not the frickin' UN!)
Like having to reform caveman societies
Like having to do what you are bloody told- like children who continually screw up.

The left call this patronising.

Would they prefer dead?

Would civil folk do this?

Such 'people' ain't worth your money.

This country was formed from a slave revolt in 1804. It is now a third-world shit-hole.

NZ was formed in the 1840's- also from nothing. It ain't QUITE third world yet- despite the best effforts of some.

Now, back to the start- WHY are these people not worth helping?

BECAUSE THEY WON'T/HAVEN'T HELPED THEMSELVES.

That is the touchstone folks...

Poor and miserable

Everyone seems to think that the poor downtrodden non-working class are in this state.

It isn't so.

Yesterday a large group of the town's taxpayer-funded bludgers has a pre-piss-up gathering across the road. Thankfully they departed at about 2100 for parts unknown.

They seemed to be having one hell of a time thanks to the copious quantities of alcohol being consumed. So they were not miserable and can't have been all that poor to have been able to purchase all of that firewater!

I'm so frickin' pleased to see all that tax I have taken from me going to make these people so happy!

This is why you never see me donating to food banks!

Why I keep my wallet in my pocket

The same old story EVERY time.

Send aid to ANY third-world country and this happens. If it's only SOME of the supplies, they are doing well- usually its almost all.

Squandering other peoples money

Don't councils love to do this!

When you don't do something productive to EARN your money, you don't appreciate the value of it. News flash- your ratepayers DO!

I have another solution-
DON'T FEED THE FRIGGIN' PIGEONS! Especially with ratepayers money!

Let the bums drink themselves to death somewhere they ain't a nuisance- say, the local tip. That or jail- not that they will do too much drinking there.

I see no merit in enabling a pack of piss-heads self-destructive habits- it's bad enough that we are paying out for welfare and medical for a bunch of dero's.

You want to kill youreslf with the booze- fine, don't bother turning up a hospital wasting time and taxpayer dollars that could be spent on someone worth a damn!

Poor starving urchins- won't ANYONE think of the children!

This appeared in the local paper. In a region where fruit is ridiculously cheap- what other food sells for under a dollar a kilo?

Every day I drive past roadside stalls selling apples for next to nothing. Hell, I drive past fruit trees on the roadside laden with apples free for the taking.

But still there seems to be a need for some do-gooder to demand we pay for fruit for other peoples brats.

These do-gooders could go out and pick up windfall apples- most orchardists happily give them away, but no- taking our money is the default setting.

Another idea- most schools in NZ have large amounts of land. Plant some fruit trees for the future. Not an idea that is appreciated by at least one work-shy schoolteacher.

"I already have enough things on my plate without having to drive a sprayer through the orchard before I start work."

At my kids school, the trees are maintained by parents working bees. The same couple of dozen of us spend an afternoon once a year pruning, trimming and generally sorting the gardens out.

All part of taking responsibility for the well- being of your own children. But then if these decile one types did that, fruit in lunchboxes wouldn't be an issue...
