Unreality

Sometimes beats life. Sometimes it does not...

Zombies walk the earth

It's true- just go down to your local Pak & Save or Warehouse at the moment.

They are aimlessly stumbling about the isles, standing staring at the shelves- probably looking for the Brains section.

I'm glad they all appear very well fed and are not yet in devouring or ravening mode!

But I do wish they would refrain from operating motor vehicles...

Dead Commie- best kind

"The South Korean government is on emergency alert following the death of North Korean leader Kim Jong Il, news agency Yonhap is reporting..."

Good friggin' riddance!

One more down, many to go.

For the politically incorrect

"An account of child rearing from a new dad who has no idea what he's doing or what he has gotten himself into. Disclaimer: This blog is not politically correct. It is not intended to be. If you don't like it, feel free to tell someone. Just make sure it's not me. Oh, and follow me on twitter: @Asshole_Baby"

Not for the hand-wringing sensitive petals that lurk abouts. Although I know they won't be able to stop themselves...

Think YOUR job sucks?

Try the circus

"Former Labour MP Georgina Beyer says she is broke and living off the unemployment benefit in a one-bedroom granny flat...
...She has applied for jobs ranging from board appointments and human rights committees to working on the forecourt in a petrol station, all to no avail.
"While I have no formal qualifications, apparently my 20 years involved with politics ... means nothing..." (Bold mine)
It actually means that a career in politics is worth NOTHING.
But the real story lies in why George did not get the usual crony position, post parliament. Must have REALLY pissed a lot of the party and apparatus off. There is normally a plum job awaiting on a board somewhere- even for one touted as the laziest member of the house. Lack of ability, drive or general deviancy has not been a handicap in the past.
What DID Curious George do?

A return to a bygone age

"Free milk is coming back to primary schools as dairy giant Fonterra prepares to launch a peace offensive with New Zealanders..."
Link:  http://www.stuff.co.nz/business/6141553/Free-milk-coming-back-to-primary-schools

I'm old enough to remember school milk. I would prefer to forget it, as it was well on the way to yoghurt by the time it was removed from the steel box by the gate. Put me and many of my generation off milk for life.

Now Fonterra have decided to supply it to schools, in a clever marketing move.

All very well, but who is going to pay for the thousands of refrigerators to keep the milk drinkable? Quite rightly, I can't see it being allowed to fester away in a concrete and steel sun-heated bunker, in these more enlightened times.

Muggins taxpayer, no doubt...

Quit the hand-wringing

So, we are a nation of piss-heads. How about we stop wailing about 'irresponsible' drinking? It would seem that this is what we are and we need to get used to the fact.

Let's focus on clobbering the minority that use the drink as an excuse for their criminal activities.

Leave the poor sods who want to take solace in the bottle from their drab and pointless existence. They have paid their dues with the alcohol supertaxes and if it shortens their lives, they are a lesser burden as they age.

As one contemplates a lifetime of toil without respite, to be milked as a tax cow, until you are dispatched to the works- it's a wonder we drink as little as we do, to forget for a moment our lot in life...

Taxi!

"Four trampers were flown to safety from the Tararua Range after spending a night out in the open.
The party activated a emergency locator beacon about 11.30am yesterday and the Westpac rescue helicopter was sent to winch them to safety..."
Bugger this walking out business!

I think I will get one of these 'get out of the bush for free' boxes.
These 'Trampers' will, like the rest of socialist, no-blame NZ, work a willing horse to death...

Too dumb to live.

"A Dunedin student's death from huffing fly spray has led to fresh calls for more moves to prevent the practice..."

Link:  http://www.stuff.co.nz/the-press/news/6106215/Huffing-fly-spray-led-to-death

Student in what? Stupidity?

Honestly, how can you 'prevent the practice' of an act so terminally dumb as to defy belief that anyone capable of tying their own shoes could contemplate doing it.

or had she just watched 'Naked Lunch' one time too many...

Because it's not yet forbidden

A little experiment for this summer is to grow a tobacco plant and cure the leaf. There could be a market for this stuff one day. Another project is curing my own ham and bacon. I already know how to make white lightning, so that has trade goods covered!

Tradition

I have a safe full of expensive firearms. Yet when I go out on a hunt, I grab the .303 I have owned since age 16. Nothing shifts the point of aim. It never has a stoppage. Despite not being made from stainless steel, it doesn't rust because I know how to look after it. The bore is bright and unmarked after 70 years of use.

That's being conservative.

You go with what has been tested and known to work. There is no need to go for something new and untried.

Friday Funny

Off hunting

..tommorrow. After the crappy week I have had, I feel a need to shoot something.

And it's finally barbecue season- wild pork on the Weber!

You reality check bounced

Feckin' immigrants

Ok, some of them are our gain.

Not the Pommie bastards that want to fuck our country up, just like they did their own.

Why is it that NZ workers take top jobs elsewhere, but companies insist on putting friggin' poms into management here- and piss off our mostly excellent NZ workers?

One son of a bitch  locally is on the verge of  getting a bit of cranial osteopathy done with a friggin' round-mouthed shovel, next time the fucker tries to push his pommie class system crap here.

Not that anyone would ever see this happen- so I have heard...
