I have finally had enough of cranking the Mossberg pump-action with a dud wrist and traded it in.
I have replaced it with a semi-auto 20-guage as seen here:
None of this steel shot nonsense with the 20-gauge, as they are exempt! (so far)
I have wanted one of these since I tested one out last year!

20G!! yegods....going mouse hunting behind mum's fridge, are we?
A modern 3" 20 gauge packs as much punch as a early 19900's 10 gauge.
I have no problem bowling rabbits with my .410!
Just kidding. They're a beautiful wee shottie.
I have my eye on another Marlin .450 Magnum--selling mine was the worst decision I ever made where guns are concerned.
Yep, I hate selling mine too!
Years ago I let a great .44mag Marlin go. Much nicer than the .45 colt Rossi I got to replace it.
The Rossi just isn't in the same league, somehow.
That's the truth!
I will get another Marlin some day!
Have you ever considered depleted uranium shot could replace lead.
It would perform better than lead and
would upset the idiots who banned lead no end.
I didn't know 20 guage shotguns were exempt from the lead ban.
How did that happen?
Statistically, there are an insignificant number of shotguns that are NOT 12 gauge.
And the steel ammunition is not made for them!
There are several Lead alternatives that are actually better than lead- but they are so expensive that they could only be justified for hunting Unicorns!
Check out my latest and go add your two cents to the stupid gun ban thing I blogged about.
They are excellent guns- I own one- a Country Hunter- the entry point model.
Very well made, they shoot well and black powder isn't that hard to maintain. it's not much more work than cleaning a .303 after using the old military ammunition!
I like the Springfield!
Those .58 minies really slam the target plates about!
