Another gutsy kid

"A Melbourne boy acted bravely and protectively when he shot and killed a man who was beating his mother, a coroner says.
The boy picked up a gun that Ayhan Paul Ferman dropped as he threw the boy's mother through a sliding door, and fired a shot into Mr Ferman's chest.
State Coroner Ian Gray said the 12-year-old, who cannot be named, was defending his mother and commended his actions..."

Well done!

Get me a bucket

"...The woman was considering giving up work as she would have enough money to live comfortably."
I might give up work, I haven’t decided yet. But whatever happens, I won’t let this win change me. It will just be lovely to not have to worry about money and to spend more time with my family...” (Bold mine)
Such people give me the shits.
Why the hell would you want to work? Most of us DON'T but have to.
You get the best part of 10 megabucks and DON"T KNOW if you want to work or not! Are these people so devoid of imagination that they have never had a Lotto win fantasy?
The incredible satisfaction in telling my employers to stick their job where the sun don't shine is right up there...

Taking care of business

"The man shot dead by police on a New Plymouth golf course yesterday was friends with Steven Wallace, also shot and killed by police in Taranaki in 2000.
Adam Te Rata Charles Morehu, 33, had fired a shot and threatened to kill police officers responding to a burglar alarm at the New Plymouth Golf Club early yesterday. Police returned fire, hitting Morehu, who died at the scene.
In 2002 Morehu told reporter Tony Wall that his mate Wallace should not have gone on his window-smashing rampage before he was shot in Waitara. And in a bizarre echo of the 2000 tragedy, it appears Morehu smashed windows at the golf course during yesterday's incident.
"But the pig shouldn't have shot him, he went too far. He could have just put a cap [bullet] in his leg or something," Morehu told Wall in 2002..."
No doubt the local scumbags will be crying that they didn't need to kill this POS. Good to see him get what his shitbird mate got- a fatal dose of Glock poisoning.
Obviously didn't learn anything from the past...

What colour is the sky on YOUR planet?

"A P-addict, whose 3-year-old son was found with methamphetamine in his hair, has had her conviction for wilful neglect overturned by the Court of Appeal.
The court ruled that the woman, who has name suppression, did not knowingly put her son in harm's way because she would take him into a separate room whenever she smoked P.
The woman also did not fully understand the potential harm that methamphetamine smoke could have on a child, the court found..."
I can't believe these judges.
The fact that the 'mother' (I use the term very loosely) was a meth head should have been grounds for neglect on their own. At the very least.
I would like to see the position of judge become an elected position...

Good show!

"A 10-year-old boy in the US has foiled a robbery after picking up a gun dropped by one of two intruders and shooting at them, helping to chase away the pair away.
Two men in deressed as delivery men knocked on the door to the Brooklyn house, and two teenage sisters opened the door, New York police said.
In surveillance video, one man is seen carrying an open cardboard box and pushing his way into the home; a second man quickly follows.
The intruders went upstairs to the second floor. A woman, the owner of the home, then slammed a bedroom door on one of the men's arms..."

Well done!
No doubt the hand-wringers will be appalled and try to say he endangered himself further. But with the crazies out there, you are better to have a go than to be passive and wind up subjected to any number of atrocities.
Not that you hear much about that in the news- especially when its the black on white type of crimes that there is an epidemic of.

Hell, I had to live under canvas there  and had not been convicted of anything.

Grow a pair

"A father-son bonding session planned by a North Island primary school was cancelled after a single mother demanded to be included.
Two "Band of Brothers" seminars were arranged by Matakana School to help fathers get more involved in their sons' lives, and as a forum for dads to share their issues. One session was for dads and another was for fathers and sons.
A solo mum wanted to attend but was told she couldn't because her presence would inhibit discussion. She was told a mother and son seminar was planned for later in the year...."
So she is a silly self-centred twit and it's not hard to see why she is single.
However, the school should have grown a pair and told her (nicely, and it could be done nicely) to sod off.
Canceling was as pathetic as demolishing the school playground because a kid in a wheelchair couldn't use it.
The feminazis whine about men not doing enough- stand the hell back and and let men do it their way- they will step up!

Negotiate be damned

"Corrections are moving inmates not participating in the riot at Spring Hill to other parts of the prison, saying fires set by prisoners are endangering lives.
Plans were made for relocating the compliant prisoners within the two cell blocks affected by rioting to another part of the prison, Corrections said earlier this evening.
Two vans of prison guards arrived, and sixteen fire engines were sent to combat the flames after prisoners lit fires and caused extensive damage to their cell blocks. The Westpac rescue chopper from Hamilton also landed in the prison.
Police with dogs are also at the prison.
Corrections said 27 inmates at Spring Hill Corrections Facility near Meremere were involved in the incident, which remained "fluid" this evening.
Corrections told Fairfax negotiators had been called in to help resolve the situation.."
This has been going on all day. Unacceptable.
Assemble the troops.
Issue an ultimatum to cease and desist immediately and get face down in the dirt, arms and legs spread wide.
Shoot those not complying.

THAT is how you end a friggin' riot.

Another idea. A cheaper one.

"A $170 million project to replace 700 earthquake-damaged Housing New Zealand homes in Christchurch has been launched.
Housing Minister Nick Smith said today that the 700 New Builds programme was the "biggest government house building programme in Christchurch's history"...
I have a better idea:

Don't like it?
Get off the public tit!

The hand-wringers are whining like a busload of Pommy tourists over this one!

More on feeding the unwashed

Exactly how many kids turn up at school having not eaten breakfast because they couldn't be arsed making it themselves, as they are meant to?

I'm betting a very large percentage of the 'poor, staving kiddies' are simply too friggin' lazy to make their own breakfast.

It's not that the food ain't there.

More labor than labor

"Thousands of pupils will be given free milk and Weet-Bix from next year, in a five-year breakfast programme involving the Government and private firms..."

The rights and wrongs of this aside- here is another case of the Nats doing the stuff that labor only whined about needing doing.

Hell, they are DELIVERING socialism, instead of talking about it!

It would be funny if it wasn't at my expense.

What next?

Of course if they have to get breakfast provided, you can be sure the poor kiddiewinks have no lunch and they MUST have lunch to learn. (see where this is going)

I predict it will be the mythical 'Free Lunch'.

As for the generosity of the corporates- you can be sure they spread the cost onto each packet of weeetbix and carton of milk that us mugs buy. Just a few cents 'for the poor starving children'...

Sunday, May 26, 2013

Oh no- not again.

If shopping is right down at the bottom of the list when it comes to things I enjoy, looking for a house would be at the far end of the types of shopping that are forced upon one.

It would be somewhat more bearable if folks picked a price, STATED IT, and stuck to it. But no, in a culture where haggling is not normally part of life, all the rules change when its houses. Even though the inevitable fact is that the house sells for within 5% of the list price.

Then there are the delusional types who cannot understand that the market is down and their tatty old box just is not worth what they think it is, as evidenced by the fact that it has been on the listings for a year or so. FFS- study your market and see what the houses in your area actually sell for. It will NEVER be what you THINK they SHOULD sell for.

I'm starting to see the attraction of renting...

Scum of the earth

"A SERVING British soldier was hacked to death in south east London metres away from his barracks by two machete-wielding men ranting “we swear by almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you”.
In extraordinary broad daylight scenes in Woolwich, the men allegedly tried to hack the man’s head off and have their own crime filmed then waited 20 minutes for police to turn up before charging at them with meat cleavers, knives and a hand gun.
Both men, shouting Allah Akbar or God is great in Arabic, were shot by police snipers, including a female officer, and were this morning (AEST) in hospital under guard in a serious but stable condition.
…”We have suffered these attacks before, we have always beaten them back,” Mr Cameron said. “We will not be cowed, we will never buckle.”…’ (bold mine.)

Daily Mail

What is this 'WE' shit?
YOU have a protection detail armed to the teeth. Everybody else is denied any real means of defending themselves. By the politician hypocrite filth that have disarmed the commonality, in the name of 'public safety'.

And teach your friggin' snipers where the head is.

'Soft' drug decriminalization

I support the decriminalization of 'soft' drugs, as I feel the greatest harm is from associating with those that sell them.

But with rights (to toke) must come responsibilities:

Minors may not use these drugs.
Employers are still free to insist upon employees being free from drugs.
You may not receive a benefit if you test positive for dope (see above)
You can grow your own, but may not sell, trade or raffle- just like with homemade spirits. In fact, you MUST grow your own.
A landlord may refuse permission to grow or use dope on their property and doing so, or consuming constitutes grounds for eviction.

Also, those selling illicit drugs shall receive life imprisonment, or the death penalty for supplying to a minor.

More on conspiracy theories and the big lie

Remember Y2K and how the world was going to scream to a halt?

Didn't happen and I doubt that it would have caused more than a few minor hiccups. IT companies did very well out of it, though,

Various pandemics that failed eventuate. This is an ongoing one.

Man-made global warming, AKA climate change when that didn't pan out.

Running out of oil by 2000AD- an old one but somehow this too was wrong.

The world would be destroyed by AIDS- another old one that was also a fizzier.

Spot any trends here?

All of these made various groups a lot of money. And showed other snake-oil salesman that P.T. Barnum was right- there is a sucker born every minute...

Conspiracy Theories

I have a theory on conspiracy theories.

They are propagated to smokescreen for actual conspiracies.

We have been flooded with any number of theories- the black helicopters, shadow alien governments, contrails that are chemical spraying, sinister alumni, assorted mind-control schemes and so on.

Now anyone suggesting any sort of a government plot is debunked as a tinfoil-hat wearer. I mean, how could anyone thing that the government and its henchmen could be anything but benevolent (clue: ask the Jews)

Take the chemical contrails- purpose unsure, but I have heard everything from weather control to mass medication with mind-control drugs. Sounds crazy and probably is.

How about a group of Nazi scientists, secreted away after the war to make weaponry for the government, in exchange for them not being tried for war crimes such as the use of slave labour? No- this could not happen in a country that fought the Nazi regime!

Or in a foreign land, any intellectuals- say, somebody who wears glasses (by way of definition) are rounded up and killed or used as slave labour? Crazy!- what country would kill off all of their thinking people?

See how the line between reality and la-la land becomes blurred?

Truth is so often stranger than fiction. And less believable...

Thrown under a train

Freedom Fighter’s Journal, which has more links:
‘…General Ham was head of AFRICOM and Commander of the 2011 US-NATO operation to depose Gadhafi in Libya. Rear Admiral Charles M. Gaouette was in command of the Carrier Strike Group Three (CSG-3), then deployed in Middle Eastern waters during the attack on Benghazi.
Both Ham and Gaouette reported receiving the same desperate cables for additional security and backup that Obama administration officials received and ignored from Benghazi. They did not ignore those desperate calls for help ringing out from the Benghazi installation on 11 September 2012.
No, both Ham and Gaouette attempted to launch ready response teams in the region capable of provided the much needed assistance during the seven hour long assault on Benghazi. Both were then relieved of command for their actions, described by the US Military as “allegations of inappropriate leadership judgment.”
General Ham immediately had a rapid response unit ready and communicated to the Pentagon that he had a unit ready to deploy to Benghazi. Then, General Ham received the order to stand down. His response was “screw it,” – he was going to help anyway.
Within minutes after issuing an order to deploy his ready response team, Ham’s second in command apprehended the General and told him that he was now relieved of his command. Ham knows who issued the order to STAND DOWN as well as the order to relieve him of his command at AFRICOM…’
Why have they not been called to testify?

Another poster child for the death penalty

"A Wairarapa nurse was left seriously injured after one of three male patients allegedly attacked her in the back of an ambulance.

Lower Hutt Police Senior Sergeant Pat Thomas said yesterday a 28-year-old Masterton man was to appear in Hutt District Court facing a charge of injuring with intent to injure in relation to an attack late on Tuesday afternoon..."

http://www.times-age.co.nz/news/nurse-attacked-in-ambulance/1872185/

Also from the 'only in Masterton' file

There was a time- not so long ago- that, in prison, the nurse was 'off limits' and even swearing at her got you a beating from the other inmates.

Looks like part of the population has hit rock bottom and started to dig...

Colour blinded

"A judge has asked for a mental health report to ascertain if a 57-year-old Masterton woman is fit to plead, after she allegedly assaulted and threatened to kill a 7-year-old boy because she "hated white people". (bold mine)

Malta Valetta Rimene, unemployed, appeared in Masterton District Court yesterday on two charges of assaulting a child and one of threatening to kill..."

http://www.times-age.co.nz/news/masterton-woman-hit-boy-7-in-street-court-told/1871626/

OK- so why are the media not crying 'HATE CRIME'?

They seem to love the phrase when a minority is the victim of crime.

Yet I can conceive of fewer crimes more hateful that an adult attacking a defenseless child!

Budget Blues

As usual, there is the 'what was in it for ME?' wailing after the budget, followed closely (by not too closely)- the 'what about the poor children?' bellyaching. In this case, funding the do-gooders with 10 megabucks for the 'food in schools' program.

In this, the nats have it right when they say that the poor starving, lice- ridden kiddiewinks are the responsibility of their parents- NOT the government. Would that they followed this line a bit more and stopped propping up the terminally feckless.

If you can't feed 'em- don't keep on breeding them! Hell- us taxpayers are funding their contraception, so this shouldn't be so hard...

Lest they forget- as usual

"Battle of Crete veterans Bill Bristow and Roye Hammond, both 94, still plan to fly out to the Greek island tomorrow for 72 anniversary commemorations, even though expense claims of $17,712 each were declined by the Government.
Trip organiser and friend to the trio, Murray Hoare, said the Government seemed to have forgotten a 2011 commitment made to veterans that they would be looked after when attending anniversaries, and he was now likely to fund it himself.
''The politicians have got a convenient memory,'' he said.
''The prime minister and [former Defence Minister Wayne] Mapp committed to funding future trips after it was exposed how badly they were treated, compared to the Australians in 2011...''

Politicians are very good at remembering the sacrifices of those who went to war. They usually manage to remember at the point in time when the survivors number in low double figures and are too old or infirm to travel.
I'm sure there will be free travel for all those WW1 vets, come the centennial next year....

The genie never goes back in the lamp

http://www.stuff.co.nz/technology/8658198/3D-printed-gun-files-removed

Too late- the horse has bolted and is over the horizon. That horse. What one person can code- for a 3-d printer of a CMC mill- so can another.

Hell, without any plans a first-year fitter apprentice can turn out a 'Liberator' type firearm- or a much better one. In the backwoods of the USA they were turning out rifled barrels with the most primitive of equipment over 150 years ago. How hard to make a Welrod? A much better choice for the technically minded.

Slight error in sentencing, methinks

This filthy pervert:

http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/crime/8643100/Paedophile-jailed-for-20-years

-has the '1' missing from the front of his sentence- although not a bad effort for a NZ judge.

I would have rather seen him staked out for the crows- a clean death at the end of a rope is far too merciful for such a piece of excrement.

An interesting fact is that of all the classes of criminals, KF's are the LEAST likely to top themselves inside.

Were that they were not protected from receiving a helping hand on their way...

We ARE one of those third world shitholes where such things happen

"...Clients at Parklands, a residential facility in Pukekawa, south of Auckland, were forced to live in crowded, dirty conditions surrounded by more than 35 small dogs, fed inadequate food, neglected by untrained staff, provided with no meaningful activities and denied access to their own money, according to the Ministry of Health...
...on the internet, the Joslins describe Parklands as being in a farm environment and promise clients they will enjoy riding for disabled, farm bike rides, a swimming pool and access to farmyard animals "to add to your quality of life"...
The audit reports reveal something far different - residents were verbally and physically abused, made to do farm work and laundry and pick up dog faeces for as little as $4 per week.
In perhaps the worst example of abuse, a teenage boy who was unable to talk was regularly left unattended in a paddock to eat grass "like an animal"...

That this should happen in New Zealand disgusts me.
It reads like the story of one of the type of institutions found in the old USSR.
If this is true, people should be looking at a short drop, stopped by a rope! Were it someone I knew in this hell-hole, I would track the owners down and deal out a more meaningful punishment than our soft-dick courts invariably will.
And the government agencies that are MEANT to oversee these facilities should also be in the dock, for their obvious dereliction of duty!

Bugger 'dignified'

"...the funeral parlor in Worcester is familiar with Muslim services and said it will handle arrangements for Tamerlan Tsarnaev, whose body was released by the state medical examiner Thursday night.
The body initially was taken to a North Attleborough funeral home, where it was greeted by about 20 protesters. Stefan, owner of Graham Putnam and Mahoney Funeral Parlors in Worcester, an hour's drive west of Boston, said everybody deserves a dignified burial service no matter the circumstances of his or her death and he is prepared for protests.
"My problem here is trying to find a gravesite. A lot of people don't want to do it..."
And exactly where is it engraved on a stone monolith, that dead scum are entitled to a 'dignified burial'?
Burnt and the ashes scattered randomly is the mildest solution to disposing of his remains that I would propose. Fed to wild pigs and the remainders buried in a sty is more like it!

So don't do crimes

"In issuing Elijah Akeem Whaanga, 21, his second strike, Judge Tony Adeane told the Hastings man his two "street muggings" that netted "trophies of minimal value" meant his outlook was now "bleak in the extreme".
"When you next steal a hat or a cellphone or a jacket or a skateboard you will be sent to the High Court and there you will be sentenced to 14 years' imprisonment without parole," Judge Adeane said..."
Now the usual suspects are whining like a bus-full of pommy tourists:
"...Professor Warren Bucklands of Auckland University's Faculty of Law said Whaanga's case made a mockery of its promoters' claim that it would target only "the worst of the worst".
"Whaanga's case is an inevitable consequence of the way in which the legislation was drafted and, what's more, was known to Parliament when it was passed," he said..."
I think the law is working as intended. If these criminal scum can't learn (at the expense of at least three VICTIMS) they are put out of the way of decent people.
This young thug has the means to stop a lengthy jail term in his own hands. Just stop mugging people.
It is infuriating to see the hand-wringers trivialize a violent robbery. The fact that the items stolen are of little value is of no real consequence. The actions are what warrants jail time. Can these blinkered fools not see how if this thug continues down this path, it is only a matter of time before he ups the ante and causes a serious injury or death?

Wind the clock back

Nothing really changes in the Village of the Damned

"Canterbury District Health Board (CDHB) medical officer of health Dr Alistair Humphrey said it was internationally documented that cold, damp homes have ‘‘an actual physical effect on your health’’.
It is also well-understood that physical health overlaps with mental health and that ‘‘people living in a stressful environment often present with physical manifestations’’.
‘‘Uncertainty is anxiety-inducing and cold winters in cold homes can genuinely cause real physical problems,’’ Humphrey said.
Physical health issues usually start once the temperature inside a house drops below 16 degrees Celsius..."

Sounds much like renting in Christchurch 20 years ago. Cold, damp uninsulated and overpriced shit-holes with hopelessly inadequate heating.
I had a crack in one room that grass grew through from the outside in one place. Drying clothes outside was impossible in the winter and going to bed for warmth was the only alternative to a state of intoxication.
So- what has changed?

The privilege of baking for the leader of the nation is the prize in the Grand Prix de la Baguette de la Ville de Paris (Best Baguette of Paris) competition at the Chambre Professionnelle des Artisans Boulangers Patissiers in Paris..."

The first four amateur astronauts would be expected to land on Mars in 2023 and would be tasked with establishing the first human colony there..."

The chances of this actually happening are about the same as finding intelligent life there. If Mars were to be colonized by reality tv wannabes, Mars will still be devoid of any form of intelligent life!

People wanting to apply for a position really need to talk to me about this offer I have on magic beans...

False Flag Operations

NO, I don't think so.

While some of those in power are quite capable of ordering such a thing to further their pet causes, it simply is not necessary.

All they need do is spin and exploit the random acts of evil that will happen. HAve a contingency plan in place and as soon as someone goes nuts somewhere and stacks up bodies, these fuckers are exploiting the misery of other to their own ends.

-We NEED to ban firearms.
-We NEED to search without a warrant.
-We NEED to detain indefinitely.
-We NEED to forget about Habeas Corpus.
-We NEED to have compulsory ID
-We NEED to DNA sample EVERYONE...

You get the picture?

While the powers-that-be were pissed that the Boston murderers were not WASP Tea-Party NRA members, all is not lost. Just brush over the Islam connection and clamp down on Vets, patriots, preppers, church-goers and supporters of the Constitution.

Yet again

"A four-month-old baby has died after suffering serious injuries at a Wairoa house.

I hope it hurt, asshole!

One less child-murdering piece of shit on this planet!

Seventy years ago today

The Jews of the Warsaw Ghetto fought back. Initially, the resistance probably had less weaponry than I have.

But they held off as tough an opponent as you could get. An army well trained, equipped and seasoned in urban warfare.

How would this have panned out if the Jews of the Warsaw Ghetto were armed with AR-15's, long-range hunting rifles, a pistol for all who would hake up arms and ammo, food and survival goods caches all through the city?

A different outcome, I believe. Especially if similar uprisings sprung up all over europe simultaneously.

But then, if the citizens of Europe were armed like the patriots of the USA- would this tragic piece of history have ever occurred?

Waiting for the inevitable backlash

"A Lower Hutt school is combating a lack of interest in reading among its more rambunctious pupils by starting a boys-only book club.
Randwick School has nearly 40 pupils aged between 5 and 13 in its new club, which sprang from principal Simonne Goodall reading teaching material that said boys had little interest in books.
After announcing the club idea to her school of 155 pupils during assembly, she was "told off" by a younger member of her intended audience.
"He said, you need to know that lots of boys do like to read."
He was right. The club membership is growing and, despite the club being in its infancy, the boys have big plans that include castles and forts in the library..."

But really- perhaps if more parents were seen reading books and watching television less, more boys- and girls- would follow their example.
But that would involve activating the cells behind the eyes...

GIve them a break

"Thirty-three staff at Auckland City Hospital have been punished for looking at X-rays and information on a man who had an eel stuck up his bottom.
Staff were sacked, given verbal warnings, written warnings and final written warnings after an investigation found there was no legitimate reason to access the patients records..."

Come on- it's like driving past a nasty bit of road kill or a car smash. You just HAVE to take a peak!

Gun control madness

Reading comments on one of the MSM  'news' sites, I saw a stream of vitriol directed at the US citizens who dare to think their constitution actually means something. Especially Amendment Two.

They seem to actually REMEMBER their history and the tyranny of perfidious Albion has not been forgotten.

But one comment stood out in it's monumental stupidity. I can't quote verbatim, but it went like:

"...name ONE instance where a government official, acting on the orders of the government, killed somebody..."

One hell of a long list, actually.

Arbeit macht frei- ring any bells?

Correct

"Recently retired Detective Senior Sergeant Grant Coward has lifted the lid on why police officers are leaving in droves...

..Coward said officers were feeling disheartened with the dramatic changes that had taken place in the past 12 months.
"I think that the key word here is frustration - with budgets, the judiciary, new systems in place alienating the community and traffic taking precedence over everything," Coward said.
"It is a frustration shared by frontline staff."
Coward said he didn't want to sound disgruntled but believed the public had the right to know what was happening..."
We, the people paying for this, share your frustration, too.
At least, those of us without our heads up our arses- who have a world outside of television, do...

More academic cockwaffle

"Teen pregnancies may be frowned upon by society but they can ''enrich and enhance'' the lives of young Kiwi mums, a Canterbury University researcher has found..."

http://www.stuff.co.nz/the-press/news/8548996/Teen-pregnancies-can-enhance-mums-lives

If by 'enrich', they mean provide an income stream by leeching of the taxpayers, then yes.

Otherwise- what colour is the sky on your friggin' planet?

Thinking of moving to NZ?

"Feilding police are investigating an early morning March 27 assault in which three boys, thought to be aged about 11, attacked a 52-year-old grandmother as she walked to work, taking her shoes before leaving her unconscious and bleeding at the bottom of a riverbank..."

No description of the young filth that did this, but do we really need a description of the Elephant in the room...

The Blame Game

"Charge against the formation leader of an Air Force Iroquois that crashed on Anzac Day, killing three men, changed after two days of evidence.
Flight Lieutenant Daniel John Pezaro, 30, was charged with negligently failing to perform a duty, after failing to abort the mission when weather conditions deteriorated so much that visibility was lost..."

I'm betting that is he HAD aborted the fight, he would have been dragged over the coals for doing so. I'm sure the conversation would have gone along the lines 'So do you expect a war to stop because you don't feel safe flying in the rain?'

One word:
Scapegoat.

BAD choice of words

"Arthur Allan Thomas, pardoned of the Crewe murders, has retaliated against a eulogy in which Deputy Police Commissioner Mike Bush described officer as having "integrity beyond reproach.."

http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/8532112/Arthur-Allan-Thomas-hits-back-at-eulogy

For those who don't know-

"A Royal Commission of Inquiry in 1980 found Hutton and one of his detectives, Len Johnston, faked evidence against Thomas by planting a cartridge case from Thomas' rifle at the murder scene." (from the above link)

If 'integrity beyond reproach' includes planting evidence- well- what can I say....

Which act is more offensive?

"Three nephews of MP Hone Harawira, accused of beating up a 12-year-old boy, appeared in court this afternoon.
Mau Toa Harawira, 30, Enesi Zane Brooks Taito, 25, and Tohora Harawira, 22 - sons of anti-violence campaigner Hinewhare Harawira - are on bail after the alleged assault..."

"A commercial pilot was today fined $3750 for the "gravely offensive" act of hovering a helicopter over the summit of Aoraki/Mt Cook on Christmas Eve in 2011..."

I guess we will have to wait for the outcome of the first story to be settled in court, but if there were any true justice in this country, slapping around a little kid would carry a WAY bigger penalty than upsetting a mountain's mojo!

Ngawha Springs

Spent the day at the hot pools today. It was great to see something rough and ready- not overdeveloped for the delicate sensitivities of the tourist market. Wooden sides to the pools and real mud and sand in them! Nothing matched or was pretty and it had the DIY appeal of the classic NZ bach- before they were torn down and replaced by million dollar McMansions.

$4 for adults and a buck each for the boys.

We will return. This is the first time in many years that I have been pain-free while being totally sober!

And I must say I prefer smelling of sulfur to smelling of chlorine by-products...

How is the drought working out for you?

Not so good, probably.

It's going to get worse.

So ask yourself- where are all the dams that could be storing water for drinking and irrigation?

Thats right- they haven't been built- thanks to the RMA and greenie appeasement.

So when you get told you can't water your garden, have gotten shit prices for the stock you must thin out or you can't flush the crapper- you know who to blame.

So stop voting for parties that are into greenie appeasement.

And physically punish the next greenie that opens their mouth and that included to draw breath!

Some animals are more equal than others

Angry comments about the officer's actions have already peppered social media sites and talkback radio. He's been called "gung ho" and "over-eager" by some, said Rodney police area commander, Senior Sergeant Scott Webb..."
Feckin' incredible! A shark kills a man and the cop who shoots at it has now offended the 'animals are more important than us' loons!
As for the SPCA- they have gone from crazy cat-worshiping single women to just plain barking mad, with the following statement from the chief fish-hugger:
"...most people understood the risks of swimming at sea, and killing a shark for its actions was unnecessary..."
I do wonder what is REALLY in those drums of chemicals I put in the water...
