Lindsay's blog has a piece on the percieved inequalities in domestic housework today.
This reminded me about a housework story. The wife was getting taken to task by her mother for her habit of bundling everything into the clothes dryer. (These machines- designed and made by MEN have done more to address the housework thing than any amount of whining about it!)
Anyway, the old girl was on about the cost of electricity and how much the dryer used.
The wife pointed out that the cost at the current rate this would be about $3-4 per week. 'Not a lot for my week's indulgence- less than a day's cigarette money for you!'
Gotcha!
