perspective fail

"Tougher penalties against those who harm animals look certain to be fast-tracked after Prime Minister John Key last night said his government would consider the controversial issue at Tuesday's caucus meeting.

A spokesman for Key said: "The prime minister has been appalled by the recent animal cruelty cases..."

I'm glad to hear that mistreatment of animals is being taken so seriously that legislationis to be fast-tracked (WOW! new laws- that will end the problem!)

When do we expect such prompt attention to the problem of cruelty to CHILDREN?

And is DOC exempt for killing animals cruelly with 1080? Or when they shoot Thar with shotguns from the air, leaving them to die from injuries from falls?
