More academic cockwaffle

"Teen pregnancies may be frowned upon by society but they can ''enrich and enhance'' the lives of young Kiwi mums, a Canterbury University researcher has found..."

If by 'enrich', they mean provide an income stream by leeching of the taxpayers, then yes.

Otherwise- what colour is the sky on your friggin' planet?

Mate, it's like these 'education experts' this morning likening themselves to brain surgeons.....I guess they are, experts in leftist brain washing.

...also I have put my kids through both the public and private education system....I fully endorse the charter schools, teach the kids the basics, do not endoctronate them into 'modern thinking'.

I was disappointed the headline wasn't "Women in 'raising children not completely negative experience after all' shock." After all, that's pretty much what this research "discovered" (in quotes because it's one of those special social science discoveries, in which your research reveals something that everyone knew already, but now you have some academic bullshit to dress it in).

What a load of CRAP this researcher is spouting.

*Nothing* is more likely to keep a young woman in poverty than having children while she is a teenager.
That's why I'd like to see no welfare benefits for anyone under the age of 20.
You train, work or starve - it's up to you.

What Thor said.
The simple facts are, nothing beats education followed by a conventional married life on the part of the parents as predictors of a child's future success.

I know there are exceptions to the rule- always are- but for the overwhelming majority, it's a recipe for disaster and a trap near impossible to get out of without the equivalent of gnawing a leg off.
