Another idea. A cheaper one.

"A $170 million project to replace 700 earthquake-damaged Housing New Zealand homes in Christchurch has been launched.
Housing Minister Nick Smith said today that the 700 New Builds programme was the "biggest government house building programme in Christchurch's history"...
I have a better idea:

Don't like it?
Get off the public tit!

While hunting in the mid 80's, I met a possum trapper who had bought a container, fitted it out with a door and windows, pot belly and bunks etc. had it railed to Te Wera and then choppered it in to a prepared site in a remote area of bush a day or so from the end of the road, where it became hidden from view from the air after a month or two of growth.
It was insulated and lined and apparently extremely comfortable.

I guess there's nothing new under the sun.

Oswald, that house is too flash, I think a tent would have been better.

Well, I had to live in a tent in the Mckenzie country for a few month of the year and I don't recall it was too unpleasant...
