Right for once

"The man at the centre of a police pursuit which left an innocent teenage courier driver dead on Auckland's north western motorway says his 13-year prison term is too long..."

I totally agree.

How long does it take to build a scaffold?

Tough shit

"Supporters of Alison Downer, jailed yesterday for more than two years for the drink-drive death of a cyclist, say the 71-year-old will struggle to cope in prison.

Downer, an alcoholic from Te Horo, was yesterday banned from driving for eight years for what was her fourth drink-driving conviction since 1991. She had twice blown almost three times the legal breath-alcohol limit..."

Cry me a river!- If you can't do the time, don't do the crime!

AN INNOCENT MAN IS DEAD!

You SHOULD be suffering, you poxy old piss-pot!

Crush the boy racers AND the cars!

"Christchurch mayor Bob Parker is calling for the Government to tell the city how to deal with the problem of boy racers..."

This is the trouble with public roads. Every sod is free to use them and these pricks seem to have next to nothing to stop them abusing them.

No need to involve central government unless you really want the dickhead control SNAFU. Just tell the police to sort it out.

Resource them properly to do the job.

Then stand the hell out of their way and let the experts get on with their job.

Without the hand-wringing when some poor, disaffected Yoof get a richly deserved clip around the swede with a aluminium bar.

Without the whining when some kid with wealthy parents has to spend the weekend in the pokey with the dregs of 'TheVillage of the Damned'

With no sympathy when the japper shitbox brought on a student loan is reduced to a paperweight. And the loan is still outstanding.

Jack Ketch

I would do it for a far more modest fee!

After all, I would make it up by repeat business...

Community based sentencing- make it HURT!

Now I find crimes like this totally inexcusable. What possible harm or offense can a kindergarten have ever caused these crap-heads?

"...The vegetable garden was ruined, spouting broken and a window smashed after about 20 youths went on a mid-afternoon vandalism spree..."

Now some may wonder why I bother about this sort of thing when people are being killed, robbed and generally assailed.

Because this sort of lawlessness is where it starts. I saw it so often when reading case histories- the first charge on many record was Theft of a Bicycle. Small stuff that goes on along the path to being a lifer. Crimes punished with a slap on the hand with a wet WINZ voucher.

When one complains, it is good form to propose a remedy.

I think this sort of offense (for a first offense) is best served with a non-custodial sentence. A couple of years of community service should teach a lesson. None of these 150 hour sentences.

Failure to turn up and do your time gets the time doubled. Each day missed gets a day in the local stocks!

Taking out the Trash

There is a call for particular attention in policing to be directed at 'Crime Families'

I'm a great supporter of this.

Everybody knows that a hell of a lot of crime is committed by a very small proportion of people. This is really obvious in a small town!

As well as and alongside gangs, there are many well-known families associated with recidivist lifestyles. These scum are pure and simple parasites. They do nothing but take from decent society. THEY need to be policed to the full extent of the law.

Their cars stopped, checked and searched on a very regular basis. The same with their homes. Any bail conditions are constantly monitored. Every time one of them spits on the footpath they are arrested.

This needs to be carried out thoroughly, regularly and without letup. I continues regardless of them leaving town. It carries on until they get the message and straighten up.

The naysyers reckon it won't stop them- they won't/can't learn. Too bad. It's much harder to commit crimes when the police are continually watching.

In my book 'Human Rights' are lost when you choose to live outside decent society- and demonstrate this on a continual basis.

This lot could have used a bit of this treatment. I wonder if they would have qualified for 'special attention'...

They would be right...

The parents of the victim would be right!

"...Mr Irons also said he was happy the arrests were made but was concerned that, given two of the alleged attackers ages, they might get off too lightly.

"I'm pleased they got someone & but those little bastards will get off with nothing..."

The bastards (which in all probability is an accurate description) arrested are aged 15, 17 and 25. One will get the wet bus ticket, another a holiday in the Youth unit, playing with taxpayer funded playstations and the older scrote will get a hopelessly inadequate sentence in what passes for a prison in NZ.

The victim survived, against the odds but the outlook for the future is not good. That won't count for much in the sentencing. As they failed to kill him, despite clear intent otherwise- it will out out with the wet bus ticket.

Going by local talk, this looks to be a random attack, these shitheads were apparently 'out to beat someone up'

Are these the sort of people who deserve another chance? I'm betting they are no strangers to the courts.

Think about the various law & order policies before you vote next month.

Update:
Now it's murder. What do YOU think the guilty parties should receive?

Good Onya!

"When feisty Levin baker Raewyn Gardiner turned up the heat on a gun-toting cake thief, he knew it was time to get out of the kitchen.

The 57-year-old grabbed him by the shirt and held a knife to his face after finding him with a handful of her cookies and cakes - tasty goods she says are "to die for..."

That lady deserves a DB!

It's a shame she didn't fillet the scumbag, but with what passes for justice in NZ, they would be throwing all the resources of the SState against her!

What does it take to get this dirtbag back in jail!

"Convicted killer Bailey Junior Kurariki has been back in court again.

Kurariki appeared in Manukau District Court on Friday, after his arrest for alleged breach of parole, the Herald on Sunday reported today..."

What does this shit-head have to do to get recalled- kill somebody?

Oh- riiiiiiight...

No- Tasers SHOULD be used in prisons

Tasers could be used in prisons

"The Government is considering policy changes that would allow police to use tasers in prisons, but arming prison guards with the stun guns is unlikely, Corrections Minister Phil Goff says.

This week two officers were badly beaten by five inmates at Rimutaka Prison. The men were discharged from hospital and are recovering at home.

The assaults sparked calls for prison officers to be armed.

Damned right.

The Corrections Department is already undertaking a project to assess what extra protection staff need. One option under consideration is armed response teams.

Adequate staffing would be also be useful. As would be running the High-Medium units like high security units with the shit-heads locked down most of the day and only allowed to exercise a couple at a time. Not half a frickin' wing at a time!

But a spokesman for Mr Goff today said any decisions around arming prison officers had to take into account the possibility guards' weapons could be used against them.

You stupid fuck- we- when I was in that job- wanted pepper spray, spring batons and tasers or stunners- Non-lethal gear because us lowbrow types at the sharp end figured that out all by ourselves!

We wanted firearms nearby and readily available- not needing to go through four layers of bureaucracy before getting permission to use them. Even the soft-cock Swedes go armed when transporting crims!

For that reason it was unlikely guards would be armed with tasers...

IDIOTS! this is exactly what Tasers are made for! Give me a Tasering over a whack with a steel bar anyday!

Justice- when- where?

Another good man dead, killed by the shit of our country.

And why is he dead, and another officer injured?

Because, sort of like the rest of us, they are not allowed to take all practical measures to defend themselves.

Why the hell would you NOT be carrying a sidearm when carrying out a covert operation in a shithole like South Auckland. As for the back up- what friggin' backup?

Now there has been the usual mewling about 'the government needs to do something and 'how we as a community are responsible'. I normally call 'BULLSHIT' on the second point, but there is a case to answer here.

The government- this and the previous one, to a lesser degree, have constantly failed to give the police the tools they need OR the far tougher treatment of real crims that our citizens have demanded.

BUT!

Who voted these assholes in? YOU are the ones who need to take responsibility for these sorts of occurrences.

YOU the limp dicks that vote in limp dicks to rule us!

YOU that wouldn't vote for parties that stand for REAL law and order.

YOU are a part of the problem. You can be part of the solution- if you got a pair!

Flogging- a start!

"Featherston residents are "outraged" over the theft of the plaque commemorating shooting victim Private Walter (Wattie) Pelvin, of Geraldine, the Wairarapa Times Age reported.

Ken Burgiss, of the Featherston Heritage Museum, said the thieves "are just low-life scum"..."

The time for the reintroduction of flogging is well overdue!

Along with a few other traditions, such as tar & feathers- for a first offense.

The pond slime that would steal a memorial for scrap are, in my not so humble opinion, so devoid of all moral worth that they are deserving of an eight minute dangle on the end of a hemp rope.
