Dietary drama queens

Now the 'poor' are reduced to eating dog food. As if we haven't heard that one before.

A quick check of Countdowns on-line store shows that budget pet food is 91 cents, while budget baked beans are 75 cents for a 400 g can.

So it's not a strictly financial choice here.

I suspect a bit of drama-queening going on. Or they actually like dog food.

I'm thinking they need neutering, chaining up and registering, too...

This reminds me of District 9.

Food is way cheaper down your way. Neither of those things are under $1 up in here.

I like dogs, stop lumping them in with this lot.

I was working in South Auckland not long ago and asked a supermarket manager about sales, volumes etc. He mentioned that much of the dog-roll sales was for deep-frying or hangis. Lucky dogs?
