My opinions on matters of the day that, generally, have pissed me off.
Being described as a 'Surly Curmudgeon', by those who meet me on a good day, I have a poor regard for the human species.

What sort of whisky do you drink?? Background probably needs to have a used, bruised wood look ... all still looks a little too much like what you'd find in a shop having close oversight by OSH & health Dept.
& you need to look at balance, mate ... half opened knife, bullets on table - looks like you're going off half-cocked. If you were sitting at a table ... whisky glass would be closest, you'd have four bullets in the gun, you'd be playing with two, the cigar would more than fit Kate's toilet roll & you'd cut the end of the cigar with the knife or you'd chew it off & spit it at the nearest obnoxious bastard, you would have defaced/whittled the table. Mate these macho types are your kith & kin (ie. ex corrections, altho' many in there are as you oh so aptly describe as 'soft cocks'). Focus on the image you are trying to present/create ...

number 6, but substitute the cutter for the lighter and have it open.
I love those knives, there is really only one purpose for a knife like that.
And if you're right-handed, sitting with the gun in front of you, it should be turned over the other way. ;-)

Agree with Mark. Keep it simple, although might I suggest a nice lace doily under the gun? No? Oh well.

#4 has good colour and a less cluttered look than the rest.
My poor fading eyesight - initially got all excited thinking the cigar was a .577 Nitro express or similar.
